A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard

It must be so hard for her to recall back her memories so that she can voice out her misery of life being stolen for 18 years in hope that anybody that had their loved ones abducted reading it, to never lost hope and prayers that one day they might be found and reunited once again. Reading this has been quite a remarkable experience to me and from now on I will take extra precautions to protect my loved ones especially my son and younger sisters.

I wished that the story does not end that way because I am so into Aza & Davis relationship (or special friendship?) And hopefully there is a sequel! The thing I dont get is how is this story got its title? They dont even relevant! I just dont understand and what exactly happened to Davis's father?

Writing style wise, I like how simple John Green is with his choices of words and stuff. But seriously, among 7 of his books that I have read, I only really like this one.

Mind blowing! I have never cried over a mystery/thriller book but reading the second last chapter spilled my tears knowing the truth. This book is full of suspense and action-packed. Theres so many things to be guessed and solved while reading. I wonder what took me so long to pick this up! Now that I have finished reading, I am definitely will read Dan Brown's other books!

After reading and listening to both red queen and glass sword audio/books, I am not sure if i'm into this series because both of them is just not mind gripping for me, too many characters with different abilities to remembered, too much work for my brain

Unrealisticly smart teenage characters that memorized a lot of poems & quotes : Hazel Grace & Augustus Waters
Weird metaphore : Cigeratte does not kill you if you did not allow it to do so. So you just put on your lips
Unrespectful unrealistic scene : kissing (or more like making out) in Anne Frank's Museum and everybody clap their hands? in real world you might get to see disgusted faces

The Fault In Our Stars is basically a cheesy romantic novel that has love at first sight from BOTH party and journey to meet the rudest, strangest author in the world, Van Houten with so many cheesy-too-much-smart and boring talks-scene.

But as usual, I love John Green's writing style. The book did not make me cry, but the movie did eventhough there are holes in it and Van Houten character is not the same as mentioned in the book, just like Augustus's eyes color

I love all the characters. They made my heart swell each time. The story is properly built, but the timeline is not clear for me as they seem to be moving from a place to another in such unrealistic pace. Or are the places so closed from each other? And the end breaks my heart. One, is because of the deaths of loved ones, two, is because it seems like it ends in a rushed. I need more! I have not read the first book. I just realised this is the sequel once the arc is given to me. Thank You Netgalley!

The story follows Tavarra, a sea dweller or you can say mermaid. She fell in love with a human, Brice but got her heart broken when her sister Nezarra shown her something. She had been cursed into a beast because she stayed too long on land. Thus, her journey of finding the stone of desire began. Along the way, she met amazing people that became her friends. I love the friendship, the love between two people and the love between family members potrayed in this book. They are the purest! Especially the friendship between Tavarra and Eza. They're my favourite!

At the same time, there is another quest of finding the dark prism. Perin and Rhona had been friends since childhood, and along the journey, Rhona found out the truth that makes her feel she's not alone.

Will they succeed finding the stones? What is the truth revealed along the journey?

The story is not draggy at all and it is packed. Heads up to the explicit contents! This might not be suitable for the young readers.

If you haven't read the book, you must've watched the movie or atleast hear about it somewhere.

Bought this short read of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and spent around 2 hours finishing it. My reading spirit has been lifted! This is actually a re-read and I still like it!

It is not a tale, but still, a fiction. The story follows a Doctor that has obsession in making a scientific disovering and ended up experimenting it to himself that results in an unexpected turn out. Then after a while, his friends do some investigating about this mystery man that leads to his footsteps. Its a light mystery thriller. Good story building. Simplest at its best!
