*SPOILERS*

I read this book all in one day and it was amazing!
I have to say though that they Patch frustrated me to no end at the beginning and I actually wanted to throw the book at some of the things Patch did to Nora (but that goes to show how much of an amazing writer Fitzpatrick is!) Overall though, I could not put this book down and I read it within a day.

The story continues on from Hush Hush, a story about Nora and her fallen Angel "bad boy" Patch who has turned Guardian Angel and got his wings back because he saved Nora's life. I have to say though in the beginning Nora seems a bit needy. Quotes like 'don't ever leave me' and 'i love you' - um how long have you guys been together? I just doesn't make it believable and in fact it seemed a bit like teen drama to me (Which I hate saying cause I love the series!) This is when Patch gets really really distant from Nora BREAKS UP WITH PATCH...was totally not expecting that in the book. And you know what. I'm glad she did cause now she doesn't look like the weak victim in the relationship. NO WAY is she letting Patch just walk all over her and tell her what to do. GIRL POWER I SAY.

Up to this point the plot does go in circles for a bit, but I don't mind as it does answer a lot of questions and fills in the gaps. Nora also has an encounter with her 'dead' father. That part really doesn't make any sense till the end of the book so be patient!

Vee, have to say that I LOVE Vee. She's Nora's wing woman and the coolest wing woman yet! I have to say that Patch does annoy me a little in the book by keeping so much from Nora (a lot of heartache could have been avoided if he would just be honest with her from the beginning) and the fact the Marcie FINALLY explains why she hates Nora so much is a blessing (It also bugged me how mean she was, with never an excuse, but I guess that is the case most of the time with bullies.

In the book you meet a new character, Scott. I have to say I don't really know what to make of him in the book and wonder if he really needed a place in there. He is kinda of placed as her re-bound in the book, but she doesn't really rely on him and bad things keep happening to her around him. I kinda like him as a character (but he just seems to much of a egg to me). But I guess he is used to add depth to the story, so ok I'll run with it. Rixon...HOLLLLYYY MOOOOLLLLLYYYY. Was not expecting him in the slightest (well done Becca Fitzpatrick - you totally had me fooled, no way was I going to guess Rixon!) I could see though how no one would suspect him and could even see Patch's anguish that his best friend turns out to be evil. Poor Patch.

To sum it all up, I did love this book and it kept me on the end of me seat the whole type and it was a real page turner. The characters kept me engaged (I have to say I was feeling just as frustrated as Nora and angry at Patch. 5 Stars for this book, Just cause its so amazing!

So I finished Ink Exchange today! I have to say at the beginning it was a bit difficult to get into. There were too many characters for me to keep track of (this possibly could be because it had been such a long time since I read the first book in the series wicked lovely). You have to have read Wicked Lovely to understand this book and I have to say I love Leslie as character more than I love Aislinn.

The book takes place where we left off with the stories about the fey and the courts (is there four courts in the series? I still don't quite know - google time I think) only this time you don't see it from Ash and Seth's perspective, you see it from Leslie and her interaction with the dark court that is led by Irial. I think it would be amazingly helpful if Marr had a glossary in the back about the courts and some of the fey that occur in the books (I don't know why but I just found it really difficult keeping up with all the characters).

I love how the ending isn't a happy love story with rainbows and sunshine and little unicorns and everything is right with the world. No. Marr I feel in this book is being quite realistic in her writing. After what has happened, no, everything is not going to be hunkey dorey in the end and Leslie is going to have time out to heal (and not to mention it makes the story way more interesting for the next books - will they won't they theme I feel).

I liked how you got more than one perspective in the book about what different characters were feeling. You not only got Leslie, but Irial and Niall . Oh oh oh did I mention I also really like the names of the characters? They were pretty cool too. So all and all I rate this a 4 out of 5, just because of how lost I found myself sometimes but loving the way the story ends!

*Spoiler alert*

Finished it!! Wow I have to say the series is getting better and better as it goes along! Can't wait to start the next book! Everything is starting to heat up now as the tension between the three courts builds (everything is getting intense!) Ash and Seth have to fight for their relationship in this book as the bond between Keenan and Ash get stronger due to the arrival of summer. I can't stand how Keenan uses Don as a back-up constantly and always runs to her like she is second best. I think Don is the shiz and I'm so glad she is finally standing up for herself in this book. Niall is also different in this book as he finally comes to terms with his whole Dark King role. I love the fact that Seth and Niall are like brothers in this book and the bond they share comes in handy for Seth. Keenan is soooo manipulative in the series I just don't like him at all. Bugs me to no end.

Yay for Seth by the way!! Love what happens to him in the story! Though I have to admit I don't like how he changes in some ways - aka the way he becomes so in love the Ash that she is his entire world...oh well he becomes a fairy so YAY! I also liked the fact that all four courts are now shown in the story. The High Court was always talked about from a distance but now we have actually read about the High Queen and it shows that she is not what the other characters believe her to be. Can't wait to know what happens further with her sister and her brother in the series.

The book kept me engaged the whole time and it was definitely a change of pace from wicked lovely and ink exchange. Marr's books get better and better as the series goes along (this could be cause the story gets juicer as it goes along). We also get a better look at the true nature of some characters for example Keenan and Donia.

We don't actually know where Ash and Seth stand at the end of the book and I don't think we will fully know until the end of the fifth book that hasn't been released yet (it should be good!). I like how Marr never ends of a HEA ending, nice and realistic thanks.

I have to say at the beginning I found this book an alright read and it was a good story line. Not my authors that I have come across writes about werewolves so this was a nice change.

Still haven't finished the book however (even though I have purchased linger - the next book in the series). Now that I have taken time out to read other books I am finding it hard to get back into reading it and the book for me has a bit of a slow plot. I am now just having trouble finishing it as I have so many books to read and this book keeps going further and further down the read book!

So I have finally finished Shiver. I think that the star rating for me will still hold. Yes it is a good book. But I think the emotion that comes through in this book is quite intense for me. Who knows, maybe the reason I found it so hard to get this book was because I left such large gaps in reading it. The story line is lovely in the sense it follows the story of Sam and Grace and the their need to be together but Sam is a wolf/human that turns into a wolf in winter and a human in the summer months. The first book is about them falling in love and the way in which it happens.

Going to read Linger now (because I'm one of those people who read stories because I want to know what happens

Happy Reading :)

I liked it, but I didn't love it. Evie as a character is not that bad, though maybe a bit much of a teenager for me...I mean this obsession she has with being NORMAL (what is normal? Anyone ever heard of the song 'everyone is special and that's ok. We are all kinda special in our own special way' - so I like to go on tangents about books that sometimes don't relate to the book itself and I knitpick the bits of the book that probably had no interest...but I digress.) Anyway, I do like the main boy in this story and he's easy enough to like. I just felt no depth with these characters however. And some characters just annoy the hell out of me aka Reth.

Who knows maybe I'm just in a bad mood while I am writing this review and will TOTALLY change all of this later. My friend Lauren is right in saying that is book is definitely an easy read but I can't say that it held my attention span for long periods of time like some books did.

I do love how there is still some mystery left to discover in the novels later though and I will be reading the next books because I am interested to know what happens next in the series.
