was into it! but I found the ending anti-climatic and I wanted
the little girl to die
just for something to happen. the main aspect/"twist" about the killer was sadly unimaginative. I liked the proper investigation part.
very "lib" with like focusing on the victiims and all the mentions of 'trauma' lol. annoying MC but it gave her dimension.

there is nothing interesting, no idea in this & blabla feminism which fair enough but it gets very rambly... we get it. I was more interested in the side characters than the main one.

narrator (audiobook) carried the whole thing. I wasn't convinced at first by the story, but I did grow more interested, intrigued, and involved in this town and family.

I'm into it! great at catching your attention, an air of tension all thought the book. ending made me raise my eyebrows and say "okay?" but in a good way. Will read more from the author.

cute concept, a true shame it is for the most part poorly written: 2024 'in your face' autism descriptions, and cringey dialogues. the author is however quite good at descriptions, and to be fair I enjoyed the big quest in the second half with the camping and the winter king and blabla, that was cool.

raskolnikov probably most relatable character to this day. greatly enjoyed the first 40% (found it subtly amusing!) then dipped then got my attention again. the lazarus scene is my favourite and i also really liked the epilogue.

not bad but too YA and I have other things I'd rather spent time on.
as for the audiobook version, the narration was autisticly done which was really weird at first but I eventually got used to it.

misleading cover art, expected pop psychology got something along the philosophical counseling that I am actually fond of.

good book more because of the reflections it provoked in me rather than 100% about the content (that is still interesting, i definitely learned some things).
it doesn't give you one answer, it doesn't give you any really, and instead aligns different pathways, even what NO pathway involves.
they anticipate all the counter-arguments one could have, which makes for an enjoyable varied read.
i liked the first 3 parts, the last two less. wrote down a couple answers to their questions but i don't think ill eventually make much of it.

simple, informative enough, loved the historical tidbits but definitely still got some practical things out of it. easy and enjoyable. reading the first half attentively makes you speed through the second.
