I haven't a clue why on Earth I took so long to read this book, well, I guess I wasn’t big into fantasy 🙄. This year was the year I read fantasy and I am living for it! I have never wanted to reread a book again and this book did that for me. This was a 6 ⭐️ read for me so much so that I had to binge the novella everyone so dearly disliked. Lauren Roberts is just a phenomenal writer, that is to say I will be reading EVERY book she publishes. The dual POV was so well done I felt like it made the banter 10% better than any book I have ever read with banter in it. I am so glad that Lauren is keeping this series YA, it makes it that much more bingable.

I heard this was everyone's favorite and don’t get me wrong I can see it, especially with how extraordinary Sarah J Maas wrote the freaking smut scenes! 😍I just can't root for Nesta, even after she did her big deed for everyone at the end of the book. Her ‘poor me’ attitude had me cringing. Like I said in my ACOFAS I relate to Nesta from an older sister who sacrificed a  lot and was held up to high expectations. I just wish she would get over herself and work through her problems instead of ignoring them. Now, with that said, I am especially excited to see how Nesta grows in book 5. As for Tamlin, give the poor man a break and stop calling him Tampon, the poor thing was heartbroken and manipulated by the woman he loved by giving her a second chance, like any love-gazed man would do for a woman he absolutely loved. He cared for her and at least wants her happy, let the man grieve in peace.

I don’t understand why people hate this book, well hate is a strong word so dislike 🙄 excuse my intense interpretation, I personally felt like it was a nice change in timeline. A Holiday where we were allowed to connect more with each character on a fairly humane holiday. Although somehow the length felt similar to the last two books with only half the pages 😂. I might ruffle some feathers but I am definitely not Nesta’s biggest fan, not even her cheerleader. Which says a lot for me because I am an older sister of five and as Nesta did, raised two of my youngest siblings myself.

I would have to say there was a lot more world building with the other courts and their perspective rulers included. If it was not for my religious note taking throughout I would have been screwed. I am typically a romance reader so that may, possibly, sorta.. have a big effect ACOMAF is still my favorite book in the series.  I would say the pace felt a lot quicker than the previous ones, the last 40% of the book had me at the edge of my seat and I was a raging menace when someone needed me for something 😅. The last hour of the book I spent being whiplashed by emotions 🥺. I can gratefully say I needed that happy ending.

Again, I took notes during my first time reading this series and boy am I glad I did. I ended up getting a little lost in the last 8 ish chapters.

Yes, I’ll agree I love Rhys 😍 but I promise those Tamlin girlies, I really did my best to see him in the light of day and I promise I’ll continue to try to for the remaining of the series.

Can we talk about Nesta, why does everyone hate her? I loved her character growth through the first two books and I can’t wait to see how she grows in the last three.

By far my favorite book, has to be but we’ll see after I read ACOWAR. 🫣 I’m excited ❣️

I can’t say I don’t know why I have not picked up this book sooner because personally it feels like it was perfect timing. I was just getting into a reading rut where romance wasn’t hitting the spot for me anymore and was feeling like I needed to read an easy thriller. Instead I opted to start binge reading the ACOTAR series for the month of May. I can’t stop now and I have a feeling I may even read the first book in TOG after this series. All I know is this series is completely worth the hype, even being the first book in the series the world building was just *chiefs kiss*. To others' defense, I did however take notes on every chapter, you do not have to do this but I  recommended especially if you want to thoroughly enjoy this series.

When I initially finished this book I wanted to give it 4 ⭐ ️ and now a part of me wants to give it 3.5 but only because I can't remember what I read anymore and had to reread the synopsis. Biance had a childhood crush who she supported like none other through the build up of his music career, Nash. In the end Nash finds himself a fool for not communicating his concerns for their relationship and calls off his wedding in an attempt to make amends with Biance and get the love of his life back. I enjoyed this book and still kinda-sorta hate Nash for being an ignorant fool. I still HATE the no communication in books, ugh it makes things so much more complicated 😂I am just glad they had an happy ending, even though I still think Bianca deserves better.

For my first cowboy romance, I can’t say I am entirely hooked. I did however impulse purchase the ENTIRE series so I will have 4 more go arounds at least. 😂I do however love the grumpy sunshine trope. I binge read the first third of the book and lost interest but I persisted considering I have other books I want to get to this month. The last third of the book had me spiraling at full speed. I did not think I was going to ball my eyes out at all in this book but alas I did, I couldn’t keep the tears back.

Mmmm, I buddy read this with my SO (He is still reading it, I needed to finish it so i can say  read it in April lol the girls that get it get it) I have read two of Freida’s books now and I know there was mixed reviews about this one so I had to see for myself. I can 100% say I am with the ones who didn’t necessarily agree with this one. The plot build up was for 85ish % through the book  and the last 15% was the solid plot was. Mmmm, definitely not my favorite, I hate it when its just everything all at once at the end of the book.

I had originally started this audiobook thinking it would be a nice filler for me to listen to while I am at work, then I just took dayyyssss to get to listen to it. It felt like a week in between me picking it back up but boy am I glad that I did. The ending had me in freaking shambles, standing crying at my tool box, Thomas Hardy was such a good ol’ fashioned man, I mean the things he did for Ava was insurmountable to the way she treated him out of selfishness. Thankfully though she did seem to find her morality. The end got me for sure, just stick through the first 40% and I promise you it is worth it. If it isn't, feel free to bash my taste in books in the comments lol.
