In a Not So Perfect World by Neely Tubati Alexander

This was fun and light hearted. Not extremely steamy. A quick read. It was very surface level which prevented me from getting attached to any of the characters. The ending was a bit of a let down. BUT this book did have me giggling a few times which was exactly what I was looking for.

This passed the time. Nothing to write home about. It was fun at time but I couldn’t connect with it. The relationship was a little bland to me and the male love interest had no personality lol

With all this being said, I would read Emily Henry again but not expect too much.

Really enjoyed this! Great writing and use of weirdness and body horror. The middle of the book drags on for it being a short read. The ending was predictable and a little too vague for me. The letters from Cathy got to be a little annoying. I think 1 letter did the job.

Some chapters/stories felt more complete than others. I listened to this and read it off and on so I think this might have impeded my enjoyment of it!

Dominicana by Angie Cruz

Although the story reflects many immigrants’ “American Dream”, it lacked a little ~something~. I can’t quite put my finger on it. I think the writing style had a really big impact on the overall tone and feeling. At times, it hindered Angie Cruz’s beautiful words.
