The Wallflower Wager by Tessa Dare

Favorite book of the series so far! Penny’s character development!!! What a woman. Been through trauma, knows what she wants, rescues animals, holds her own with our hero. Gabe was also incredible. In his interactions with Penny, he was all about letting her take control when she wanted and making sure she was comfortable while also being just the right amount of protective through the story. On another note, I LOVED the interactions between our male characters!! I laughed every time they were all three in a room together. The goat scene? Hilarious. Can’t wait for our final couple in 2021!

Not gonna lie, I knew I would love Damon's book when I started this series. He was SO BAD which made this book SO GOOD. I loved all the timelines we got to explore in this book. They worked so well in telling Damon's and Winter's story. Their connection was so well developed and this book had me literally CLUTCHING at my HEART as I read it. *sigh* And Damon's redemption with Will was no less meaningful and beautiful! Five stars, Penelope. Here's to immediately diving into Nightfall.

Be Not Far from Me by Mindy McGinnis

I LOVED this book! Yes, there are some gruesome scenes you would expect with survival in the woods, so know that going in. But this book was everything I hoped it would be which is: a more modern young/new adult Hatchet with a well developed main character who I cared about. The amount of plot and back story Mindy McGinnis wove into this <300 page book was incredible. I was invested in Ashley’s personal growth and physical and mental journey. Her courage was INSPIRING. I laughed and cried which always tells me I’ve read a GREAT book.
