This was so very sweet. Eveline is arranged to be married to Graeme who is from an enemy clan as sanctioned by the King. Everyone believes Eveline is daft and she led them to believe her to be that way. Graeme may be from an enemy clan and is unhappy about the marriage at first but he treats Eveline with respect the moment they meet. And he becomes so fiercely protective of her and even stands up for her against his clan members who've bullied her. Graeme is a wonderful hero and Eveline is a sweet, determined heroine.

It was a good enough story but one that leaves me unsatisfied. The ending felt a bit rushed.
And I dislike the fact that the only reason Rohan came to his senses and realized he wants to be with Elinor was when her life was in danger. I've realized I'm not particularly fond of that trope. I prefer when the love interest realize on their own that they love and want to be with the MC without any 3rd party help or the life in danger trope. Because if not, it just makes me question that without those, would they even have acted on their feelings?

I guess I just needed more from this book. Needed more validation on Rohan's feelings for Elinor. I felt a little unfulfilled but the story was enjoyable enough.

I also read this via an audiobook and I didn't really care for the narrator's performance so that could have played a part on my disappointment.

Wow!! This was long and definitely really slow burn. The whole story was good and sweet but I was starting to get impatient towards 80% of the book and just wanted to get to the ending already. This may be a sign to take a break from MZ's book for a bit. They are fun and relaxing but they take a lot of commitment with how slow burn it is. There were a few times where I also wanted a little more insight of Aiden's feelings but this is still a good book regardless.

This was such a sweet, sweet slow burn. Kulti frustrated me at the beginning but he grew on me and he's actually pretty sweet. Although I didn't think his assholery in the beginning was justified. There's something about Mariana Zapata's slow burn books that's comforting.

Touching story and I cried a little bit! My only complaint (which really isn't much of a complaint at all because I'm fine with the story) is that Jessie forgives way too easily and I wished she would have made Callen fight for her more.

The story was okay. There were just a few personal pet peeves of mine that were used in this book. Like when the MC is supposedly in love with one character for the longest time but the moment the actual LI shows up, they fall out of love with the former. I'm sure it happens in real life but I just don't like to read them in the books. It has to be written a certain way for me to tolerate it. Also it really annoyed me when Wren betrayed Hal but Hal still trusted her and quickly forgave her. Other than that, the story was alright but I expected more.

This was sweet and lighthearted. I'm usually looking for a lot of angst when I'm reading second chance romance but this didn't have it. However, it was a relaxing read so I'm happy with it.

While I still prefer the author's other book, Paper Swan, this was a touching, heart-wrenching, bittersweet but hopeful adventure!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.
I just felt very lackluster about the book and I didn't want to waste my time with it.

This was so good and lighthearted! I loved both MCs especially Ivan!  I was honestly sad I finished it because I didn't want to say goodbye to the story and characters yet. I loved their constant banter and now I really want to read more hate to love/enemies to lovers book with their similar dynamic.
