this book was so so cute i loved it
just to offer some context i read this in the last day of winter break and i said to myself “okay i have school tomorrow so i’ll go to bed early, to get at least 8 hours of sleep” well…. it’s safe to say that i fell asleep around 4am but HEY at least i finished the book
it was THAT good

This book is romance that tells the story of Liz, a girl who has believed and dreamed of an epic romance story, and Wes, the popular, well loved guy who for some reason is always messing with Liz. Not in cute way, in a always-stealing-the-parking-spot way. Since they were little, they had this competition going on, which could annoy the other one better.
But as Liz’s childhood crush comes back to town, she has to find a way he could fall deeply in love with her and they could live the happily ever after story from the movies she loves, and the only way to get that seems to be fake dating Wes.

Liz, my love, she was like fr like how could she not? if you gave her good music, books and films she was happy, ME TOO.
she represents all of us girlies who spent their lives reading books and watching movies about epic love stories, who dream of one day be the main character in one of them, who hope to find their “soulmate”, the person that understands them and loves them all the way.
the ONLY thing i “disliked” about her was the fact that she loved The Ugly Truth and i despise that film :|

Loved her dynamic with J , and i might be wrong but something was definitely going on between her and noah at prom so maybe another book is coming…?!

One of my favorite parts about this book was the way it dealt with grief. Loved reading about Liz’s relationship with her mum, their little habits, their hobbies, their jokes, their clothes and their moments together. What i loved even more was seeing the development of the relationship between Liz and Helena, i think it was well written and thought of, it felt so realistic and such an important topic that every day is more common.

Wes, i loved his character so much, he was so funny, so caring, so teasing, it was so obvious from the start he was completely wiped and i LOVED every single second of it.

Their relationship was the cutest, their banterrr i loved it, the late night calls, when they watched miss congeniality together, the night when they were watching the starts, when they went shopping, the scene in the restaurant and then in the carrrr. amazing, perfection, got me kicking my feet and everything. they were adorable.

an amazing book, a cute and fluffy love story that will leave you all smiley and blushing but also deals with grief and the loss of a loved one.

wow.
listen, i only knew the concept of this book going into it, that it was the story of three girls that got stood up at valentine’s day by the same guy and i was intrigued.
oh boy little did i know what was coming for me.

i hit the 50% mark and i was like “okay this book is good, i like the characters but it’s nothing ‘wow’ “. well karma really said “HA HA oh really? just you wait”

this was a story of three women, three completely different women, with different personalities, different fears and anxieties, different backgrounds. this book tells us about them, their lives, their families, their past and then how they changed the life of this man.

i loved siobhan, her personality, her independence, her quick temper, but most of all the way she cared deeply for others, the way she let herself be taken care of, the way little by little she fought the constant necessity to be in control,
that despite her past experiences she learned to love again and let somebody completely in. loved loved loved her growth and was so happy for her i just wanted to give her a hug.

miranda, my love. the woman in a male dominated field, that never let it take her down. the one who worries too much, overthinks too much and just needed someone who understood her completely and let her in 100%. and eventually she got it and i couldn’t be happier, they were such a good match. i really liked his character.
loved the sister dynamic that we got, really liked the twins and their personalities.

jane. the bookworm, always-sticking-to-a-routine type of girl, insecure and someone who thinks first with her head then with her heart because it’s “safer”. i wanted to give her so many hugs, because same.
one of my favorite scenes in the book was when joseph said “books are my happy place” and she immediately smiled and relaxed because she felt seen and found someone who finally understood her.
i LOVED her relationship with Aggie, loved their dynamic, how it started and the huge impact it had on jane, i was so happy.
jane had a bad and complicated past and i loved seeing how she opened up and let other people see her for what she really was and shared what she had been going through, especially in the end how she got the courage to stand up for herself and tell her truth. the ending made me so happy, i was thrilled she finally got what she deserved.

joseph, man, i was a “bit” judgy in the beginning -i told him to fuck off a couple of times- but i think that was the whole point. once i found out, i couldn’t stop crying so i guess that was the payback. the ending made me cry even harder because it was so beautiful. it made me so happy to see how much he had healed and grown, becoming him again and being able to love someone 100%  without feeling any type of remorse.
i can’t put into words how perfect the ending was

balled my eyes out, an amazing read that explores grief, self discovery and love.

this was my first star wars book and i loved it so much. it was a little bit hard to get into since i started reading this in the middle of school season (my mistake) and had to stop several times but once i caught up with it it was easy.

as i watched the films i always had that feeling of wanting to know more about this universe, about these characters that marked me so much and this book offered me just that.

one of my favourite parts of this novel was the insight that was offered on some characteristics mentioned in the films that were never explain. Like, for example, obi wan’s fear of flying and qui-gon’s meaningful belief in prophecies, especially the latter since it’s such an important plot point of episode one: The Phantom Menace.

i liked the way they explored qui-gon and dooku’s relationship and their dynamic, making us comprehend more Jinn’s personality.

Other aspect that i loved was the relationship between Pax and Rahara, a different and new element that contributed so much to this story and added a very interesting and funny dynamic. i found both characters very interesting but on different parameters. Pax was very funny, i found myself laughing at the things he said and the situations/timing he said them in. His background surprised me, i found it really unique and the way it influenced his actions, behaviour and relationships was very interesting to read about. Throughout the book, it was fulfilling to see how little by little, with the help of no one other than Rahara, he overcomes the ideas he has in his head regarding some topics.
So I said-it turns out there are things that matter more than rationality
i really enjoyed the more we got to know Rahara and her background, such a strong character, fierce and powerful, with a strong moral, that doesn’t give up and fights for what she believes while being a completely reasonable and lovely person.
loved the connection the two had, the way they understood each other and their never stopping banter.
Rahara’s rarest talent of all- she’d liked him. She’d understood him in a way few others even tried to.
And at last, i had to do it after all of them because it is my favourite. Ladies and gentlemen, the man, the legend, OBI WAN KENOBI.
i love this character so much it’s unreal and just when i thought i couldn’t love him even more BOOM this book proved me wrong. i loved the more in depth information we got on this character, we listened to his thoughts and desires, understood his fears and insecurities and i couldn’t help myself from connecting with him. basically he is me. i am him. and i will protect him at all costs.
i particularly loved the new insight we got on their relationship (Quin-Gon and Obi Wan’s) as master-padawan but also as friends.

i love this world and i cannot wait to read more star wars books.

It matters. It matters which size we choose. Even if there will never be more light than darkness. Even if there can be no more joy in the galaxy than there is pain. For every action we undertake , for every word we speak , for every like we touch-it matters. I don’t turn toward the light because it means I’ll “win” some sort of cosmic game. I turn toward it because it is the light.

ps: i think it’s really funny and unrealistic of me how i think i’m going to be able to read the novelizations of the prequel films (especially revenge of the sith) without balling my eyes out if only the “after” chapter in the end had me tearing up and left my heart shattered. it’s also important to know that this chapter was 3 pages long :)
