-high school romance
-family drama

This book was an emotional roller-coaster. It focuses on a mother and daughter both their lives together but individually and includes flashbacks from the mother's teenage years.

I was heavily invested in the characters. Colleen did an amazing job bringing depth to all characters.

There's a lot of tragedy, heartache, romance, rebellion and unconditional love.

This is my first read from Colleen Hoover and it won't be my last!

-YA mystery
-plot driven
-easy read

There is a lot of hype surrounding this book. It has a great storyline and I really enjoyed the unravelling of the mystery at the end. Although it does leave you wanting more (second book already bought).

The clues, storyline and characters are all great. The writing could be slightly better, I feel it was slow in places. Plus, I would have liked a little added romance in there.

The last chunk of the book was very addictive. I look forward to reading the sequel!

-third person and heavily descriptive writing
-slow pace plot

This author is very popular and I had high hopes from reading the blurb of this book but unfortunately I did not enjoy this read. It was a mixture of the writing style, characters and dragged out plot.

I am glad I finished the book to get some answers although not every storyline was wrapped up hence leaving it open for the sequel (that I will not be reading).

I did not care for Alex’s character or the others. The plot was just okay, not gripping but I will say it was unusual.

Alex can see Grays (ghosts) and has access to magic to oversee that secret societies are utilising magic within the rules of Lethe at Yale University.
The mystery of Darlington. I was over it by the fifth chapter.

How long are those chapters by the way?!

Unfortunately, this book took me far too long to get through because I wasn’t enjoying it.

John Logan is an ice hockey star, typical player, not the type to settle down. Grace is a studious wallflower, getting by uni with little drama in her life. That is until Logan accidentally knocks on her dorm door.

It was refreshing to read a story with many character flaws and a not so perfect start to a relationship. John Logan made many mistakes he regretted when it came to Grace but his realisations of what he messed up and his determination to make things better were endearing and admirable.

Grace and Logan’s relationship (second time around) was exciting, sweet and hot.

There were good side-line stories too involving family and friends. Yet again, another fantastic Elle Kennedy read.

I recommend this book if you like:
-mystery, thrillers
-slow pace
-family roots and past events

The story is set in the UK and Ireland. Jo escapes from her husband with her daughter Elise due to a custody battle. A strange women threatens Jo and her family saying Max, the husband, has something of hers that she wants back.

The story came together really well at the end. All the mysteries solved and wrapped up neatly in a satisfactory way.

The characters were extremely well developed and kept you guessing about who to trust throughout the book.

The downside for me was the pace of the book was too slow until the last hundred pages and also it is written in third person which I find more difficult to connect with.

Hannah is a straight A student and star hockey player Garrett just needs some tutoring to help him pass his Ethics class so he can stay on the team at Briar University.

The unlikely duo strike a deal which benefits them both.

The relationship between Hannah and Garrett is endearing with their banter back and forth. It is surprising to both of them when they realise they have actually started to form a friendship.

Hannah’s struggles and Garrett’s family issues really helps them bond and they help each other recover from past traumas.

There is a twist at the end which kept me intrigued. This was a fast-paced book with lots of romance.

The main character is a primary teacher which was my initial pull towards reading this book but unfortunately this is barely mentioned throughout the book and does not portray a realistic life of a teacher as Madison had a lot of free time!

This story was easy to read and had great characters. The romance was ok if a bit far-fetched.

The ending had a twist that I did not see coming and had me questioning what I thought to be true throughout the book.

Charlotte and Simon's story was very interesting to read. Both had different family backgrounds and intriguing characters. The book kept me entertained throughout.

Charlotte's pregnancy and journey was eye opening. This sort of story isn't my typical read. I am so glad they had a happy ever after ending.

The writer's writing style was sometimes very slightly difficult to understand. For example, who was speaking or characters transitioning. I would however, read another book by this author.

I recommend this sequel if you like:
 -College era romance books
 -Multiple POV
 -Romance and drama

First of all, I must say I loved being in the heads of and reading chapters from the two main characters. What a treat to have multiple points of view. It really helped me understand Axel and his actions more and know for sure that his feelings for Tate are true.

We get to understand a bit of Axel’s past and situations that have shaped him into the guy he is today. I really felt for him due to the experiences he had went through as a child. Then running into his dad after an extended period apart could not have been easy. It was interesting to read how Axel and his family approached this hurdle.

How adorable are Tate and Axel together (when the drama isn’t getting in the way)! Their love for each other is clear and I enjoyed watching their journey together. Not to mention that anniversary celebration!

Tate is getting stronger and putting her past behind her. Some hurdles are thrown her way which test not only her but her relationships with others. It was so interesting to read what was going on in Tate’s mind when Connor showed up and it gave me a better understanding of others who would be going through something similar in regards to Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I really enjoyed the girl power, positive girl friendships and the development between Tate and Nicole.

Trinity’s writing has a way of pulling you in to these character's lives and making you feel like you are a part of it. Each chapter was like a mini cliff-hanger, you just want to keep reading on. You even become invested in side characters and their mini storylines too. There was always plenty of drama and excitement to keep me hooked and amazing character development. Well done Trinity on another 5 star book!

I recommend this book if you like:

·         Cute teen romance
·         Enemies to lovers trope
·         Current / relevant setting in Lockdown

As always another great read from Alexndra Moody. I enjoy each story I have read from her and this new release is no different. It is an easy, light read.

Clarissa (Clary) is forced to move into Aiden’s family home during lockdown as her family are stuck overseas. Clary has always disliked Aiden yet Aiden has always had a thing for Clary.

I really enjoyed reading from both character’s points of view as this helps you understand each side.

I wish they had got together a bit sooner. I absolutely adored the ending, it gave me goosebumps! They are so cute together!

Also can we talk about the lockdown prom?! Don’t forget her birthday breakfast and drive by too! Aiden is so thoughtful!
