Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia

Meh. I liked it, but found it was the same story all over again. Lena is horribly depressed and think she is evil and Dark. Ethan loves her to no end and is trying to fix everything. Earth to Lena: YOU ARE A F***ING CASTER! YOU ARE THE ALL POWERFUL NATURAL! AND YOU LET YOUR POOR PATHETIC WAYWARD BOYFRIEND DO ALL THE HEAVY LIFTING?! GROW A BACKBONE, SISTER! SUCK IT UP!
I'm done yelling now.
There were surprises and twists (Linkubus and Mortal Ridley for example), but that was the only thing that made them two different stories. Don't get me wrong, I really liked it, I was just hoping for some variation. Hopefully, Beautiful Chaos will be what I was waiting for.

I really really like this book, but only one thing gets on my nerves. I don't like whenever she says something about New Orleans. I love New Orleans and everytime she said something bad about it I would get a little ticked off even though I knew it was just a book. Other than that, great book!

Oh my God, I didn't see that coming. I'm in shock, my brain is numb. THERES THE BEAUTIFUL CHAOS STORY I WAS LOOKING FOR! So much better than Beautiful Darkness. The story line was more original, with the End of Days everything was tense and dangerous.
But it was the last two or three chapters that made me love this book. At first, it was so sudden, I was just numb, I found it impossible to believe. Then the tears started flowing and before I knew it i was bawling like a baby. That ending will haunt me until Beautiful Redemption.
"The Motal world is in a state of beautiful chaos and destruction, which will ultimately lead to an exquisite end."

Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

If I could give this book like thirty stars, I would. It was amazing!!! Normally, I'm not a fan of all the blood and gore, but I had been seeing some really good review so I decieded to give it a try. Holy snot, it did not disappoint! I loved Cas and his sarcasm, it made me able to smile in the middle of a really stressful moment, and Anna really touched my heart. She was so beautiful and tragic.
The story was original, the characters loveable, it was just an all-around fantastic book. I don't see how anyone could NOT love it to...well, to death!

Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

When I was younger, Peter Pan was on of my favorite Disney movies. And since I was tall with dark hair, I was nicknamed Tiger Lily. So when someone pointed out this book to me, I couldn't get it off the shelf fast enough. I loved the idea of the story from Tiger Lily's point of view.
I wasn't disappointed. It was perfect, taking points from the real story, and the childhood movie, and twisting them into a shadowed, dangerous version of Neverland. I loved Tiger Lilys strength and silence. Her brooding, determined personality was so much more than I expected. Then the love story came along, and I was captivated by the simplicity, yet complexity of it.
It was so much more confusing and twisted, mostly thoughts and undeterminable feelings, coming from Tink's mind. It was a wonderful little trip outside reality.

Is it just me? Or was there a dissapponitment factor? Don't get me wrong, it was a beautifully written story and I really enjoyed it, but I wish it had talked more about the actual myths of the Greek gods. It was a real disappontment for me.
Other than that, it was great. Kate was kinda whiney sometimes, but she was strong. And Henry...hot. Can I get an Amen? H-O-T, hot! Much better than I expected. I loved them together, even if at first they were a little stiff.
It was mature without being rated R, there was subtle humor, and at least there was SOME reference to Greek mythology, even if it isnt the desired level. Maybe I wouldn't recommend it to a fan of The Percy Jacksons, but anyone who enjoys a good love story (guilty) you'll enjoy this.

Snow by Tracy Lynn

It was a little short for my taste, but other than that, I loved it. It was darker, and more sophisticated than what I first thought of Snow White. The magic effect was much more interesting, and I loved the characters. Not your avarage fairy tale.
