I read the original version of this book (and the rest of the series) a year and a half ago and I loved it. I enjoyed it even more this time. I appreciated getting to go back into this world and see these characters a little more rough around the edges. I am excited to get to continue this re-vamped series to see what else changes.
I was gifted a digital advanced reader copy of this book. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

I finished this book last night and it was SO GOOD! It's a YA book with a Palestinian-Canadian FMC written by a Palestinian-Canadian author.
Jessie (15) is a quirky loner obsessed with the nineties and she finds herself freshly diagnosed with autism just weeks before starting high school. Her therapist encourages her to make a list of goals for this school year Start the year with 2 distinct eyebrows ✔️ Goal #1: Convince Mom to buy me a real bra!!! Goal #2: Make friends!!! Goal #3: Do not let anyone see me cry at school!!! Goal #4: Don't tell anyone about my autism!!!
This book was so relatable and took me back to being an insecure 15 yr old girl... when my biggest worry was trying to get my crush to talk to me and my entire mood could be affected by if I got to see said crush each day (cue sad music if I didn't and happy music if I did).... But without having to actually relive those days (thank goodness). I highly recommend this book
I love these characters and the humor in this is right up my alley. Sometimes the second hand embarrassment is high (*monkey covering eyes emoji), but mostly it is a delight to read this series. I look forward to reading more in this series soon.
This is one of my favorite reads of the year. The enemies to lovers' banter is EXQUISITE. I was so close to squealing and kicking my feet happily while reading.... I also wanted to shake the MCs out of frustration more than once. I already cannot wait to reread this book before book 2 comes out. It has so many of my favorite tropes, but many of them would be spoilers. I cannot believe this was a debut novel! Thea Guanzon is already an auto-buy author for me.
Oh my goodness... I finished this book approximately 137 seconds ago and I'm already desperate for book 2 and excited to reread this book before the next one with all I know now. I loved this book (just like pretty much everything I've read by Eva Chase). This was everything I look for in a why choose Romantasy book 1. I'm so excited to see Ivy's relationship grow with each of her men.
I laughed, I cried, I RAGED, and I was shocked multiple times. I loved collecting all the bread crumbs throughout this book and seeing them be put together in the end (well, not all of them obviously, but enough!)
I was gifted a physical advanced reader copy from The Nerd Fam with only the expectation I post an unboxing video. I read this book because I wanted to and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
