This is one of my top reads of 2016 because 1) I'm crying both happy and sad tears, 2) I want a bf like Trevor, 3) I also want a Connor...and finally 4) Kasie is a queen at weaving so many elements of other genres together in a beautiful, captivating way. Dear god, it's nearly 3am and I've fallen madly in love with this series. the last line was pure perfection...can we get some novellas up in here? or like maybe another 5 books in the same world? I feel like nothing I ever read will live up to these expectations which both scares and has me excited! Kasie, please continue writing forever so I have content to last me? I loved your female protagonists, the romance, the loss, trust, loyalty, world, and Trevor. ALL THE STARS AND BRING ON MORE PLEASE???!

LOVED THIS SO MUCH MORE COMPARED TO THE FIRST BOOK! THIS BOOK HAD MORE SASS, DEPTH, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND THE FORESHADOWING IS KILLING ME! I MEAN JACE CAN FLY/LEAP AND CLARY CAN CREATE RUNES OML. SIMON IS ABLE TO WALK IN DAYLIGHT AND THAT MADE LINE WOMAN IS GONNA HELP JOCELYN WAKE UP. VALENTINE IS OUT THERE WITH THE SWORD BUT HE'S ASS IS GONNA BE WHOOPED BY THE SHADOWHUNTERS I HOPE. ALEC AND MAGNUS NEED MORE SCENES TOGETHER. MAIA IS A SWEETHEART CAN SHE BE SAFE? PLS. I'M BEGGING YA'LL. I LOVE LUKE. LIKE A LOT. HE'S AN AMAZING DAD FIGURE. VALENTINE DIE. INQUISITOR...WHY'D SHE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE FINISHING HER SENTENCE FUCK. ANYWAYS, THE PLOT WAS FANTASTIC. THE CHARACTERS AND SASS LEVELS WERE GREAT. MAGNUS IS BAE. I LOVE HIM. SIMON PROVIDES COMIC RELIEF. JACE IS SASSY AND SARCASTIC AND ALEC IS A SWEETHEART. IZZY IS BADASS AND THE SEELIE COURT IS INTOXICATING. CAN WE GO THERE AND DANCE TILL WE DIE? ALL IN ALL I LOVED THIS BOOK HENCE WHY I'M SCREAMING. GO AND PICK IT UP. NOW. *runs off to scream and rant and fangirl and go mental. also decides to pick up City of Glass because I need more*

This book was one of the best so far in this series! The plot thickened, the fighting scenes had me on the edge of my seat, the truth came out about Jace. I met Sebastian & Jocelyn woke up and was as badass as I was hoping for. Simon went through MAJOR development and JOCELYN × LUCIEN = YAS.

I was told that the series was originally going to be a trilogy, but I'm glad it isn't. Not because of the loose ends, but because there's so much more I want to see! I wanna see some more Malec, I wanna see how the Lightwoods and jace deal with their loss, I wanna see Simon happy with whoever (preferably Izzy bc I'm sure she loves him ;) ) & most importantly I'm intrigued to see Clary develop more. She started out as a teenager, whose biggest worry was...well what teens worry about. Now, she's survived a war, had a face to face ACTUAL interaction with Valentine till he...well, till raziel turned up. And she knows the extent of her powers. I wanna see her train and learn to hone them. I also want to see her relationship with Jace and also how her and Alec now interact....I basically want more! You can tell that I'm trying to use as little CAPS and AHDJFB as possible because this book deserves so many stars! Yes, there were some slow bits but I swear the last 200 pages are packed with tension, suspense, heart breaking scenes that you won't put it down. I mean I lost some sleep trying to finish this book!
What I'm trying to say is....this book has done it for me. It's peaked my interest to the fullest and now all I wanna do is lock myself away and read them all! But alas, school awaits...I'm still gonna read the rest! I looked on Cassandra's website and she's suggested I now read TID and then continue with the second half of TMI....So that's what I'll do!

Rating: 5/5 contemporary romance stars! <3 or should I say doughnuts seeing ad it's more fitting!

I adored this book! It had the right amount of cuteness, sarcasm from every character, hot dudes galore and most importantly it was great to read after my fantasy high!
First of all...ETHAN! Oh. My. God. I'm in love. He plays guitar, he's smoking hot, his smirks have me giggling like a school girl (which I am actually!) and he is one smooth flirtatious guy! I fell in love the moment we met him and I was shipping him with Courtney...still am, so I better get this ship sailing in the second book, Nicole! Also, I love the ring he gifts to Courtney...I need someone like Ethan
Courtney: This girl is your typical good girl, quiet, keeps to herself...until the summer in Ohio where she meets hot, fun Ethan. She went under so much character development and she's so relateable because I'd rather read instead of go to a party...and she'd rather not go to a party too...until certain circumstances happen and she becomes adventurous and mature and just AVSKSJSH I loved her. it's been a while since I've read a contemporary and this was a great one. But this review is not ending on this note...oh no. How could I forget about the side characters?
Vanessa: epic friend, funny, amazing & so supportive and sweet! I loved her and Courtneys interactions so freaking much!
But I need answers...like what happened with her and her douche first boyfriend? :/
Luke: sweet, hot & King of Bad Timing. Just read it and see :)
The plot was something I didn't expect...everything was going great, then summer ends & Court goes home and then she visits 2 months later for a weekend and then leaves after an epic time with Ethan and...everything went to shit. Like I sat there feeling so sad and frustrated because I knew what was to come...then.... (SPOILERS) the break up. I felt as zombie like as Courtney...maybe even more so...it got worse...and worse...and nd then things started to look up with Ben...i mean...he's nice so there's that...but still my otp...MY OTP MUST SAIL <3 <3

All in all...i adored that Epilogue...ALAS ME NEED MORE! I NEED IT LIKE AIR :DDD

This book had me gripped from start to finish. The writer has a unique style of writing and I love that it's simple and choppy because it feels like we're in the head of Nathan. It also has an array of characters, both young and old and Nathan's family was my favourite part because I adore it when YA incorporates the element of family in...I adored Arran. I'm in love with him and he's such a kind, loving character. Ellen is also very interesting and I want to learn more about her. Gabriel...*sigh* I fell in love with him from the start. I mean, he smiles 24/7 and is the BIGGEST bibliophile...I also liked Mary and Bob...I cried and laughed and rooted for my faves and this book was honestly an amazing and refreshing story about witches. The magic system was explained, not in too much detail so it didn't feel like info dumping. I was shockingly never bored nor could I bear to part ways with this book every night. I'm glad I've finished it and now I definitely need Half Wild. This book deserves more attention and ya'll should get it. Now. It's a 5/5 for me.
