omg

Ms. Latimore you owe me some sleep. I honestly could not put this book down. I was so caught up in it. You had me fooled a couple of times but I very much enjoyed it.
Monique-Sharaye is a new chick, a junior in high school, and a part of the dance team. Mo is so relatable. She reminds me of how i was as teenager growing up in NY. She’s known to chill out on her porch where she notice the very Fine Quinton aka Q. Q is the guy all the chicks want and dream to have. They bump into each other one day and from there the story takes off.
Quinton is a Book Bae if I ever read one. This things he does to show his love for Mo is outta this world. A couple of the side characters have stories I would love to read. Jevaughna is hilarious. She kept my laughing throughout. Cayla’s backstory gotta be crazy when she talked to Mo in the car my emotions in emoji form

I’ve been strummed

Lordy Tru was a mess but he was a real dude. Although Tru was an R&B dude he never changed who he was. Slightly crazy but loyal and a softy when it came to the ones he loved. Harlin surprised me because she wasn’t gonna let Tru say or do whatever like other chicks. She matched his energy. I just knew he was gonna fix things with Harlin because she matched his energy. Kadeem was messed up with what happened between Jen(Tru’s sister) and him. He was immature but I did expect them to figure things out and be together. Rocko and Laine were great. Rocko was Bae. He was there for her from beginning helped her see her dream through and was supportive. Really enjoyed this about to start heated right after this.

needs some more detail

I believe the story has a lot of promise but it does jump a lot of time with no real final to what was read before it skips. We just 5 years then 10 years but there is a scene where Harmony confronts the crackhead from 15 years ago but she refers to her child still as a little boy.
There are also a lot of grammatical errors that make the story hard to read especially within the last 20 pages. Then the story ends abruptly and doesn’t seem like it should. Overall I believe it needed more detail to really tell the story.

Best Friends to Lovers

I’m a sucker for friends to lovers. Sage and Chance’s story was so sweet. The way Sage was there for Chance once they got back into each others life was perfect. Sage had both Chance and Kai. I loved Kai and Sage’s relationship. I also liked that Ishaan was involved in his son’s life while not feeling a way about chance and Sage relationship. I couldn’t stand Chance’s mom at all and I wanted Chance’s father to have a backbone. Now I may be crazy but are Cassie and Jemma together?

emotional

This was my first read from A.A. Lewis. I did enjoy the story. The highs and lows of mental health was represented well. Tracy who is reeling from the death of her husband is left with letters from him that help guide her through her grieving process while being left with an even more precious gift.

ok read

This story was fast paced. Kenyatta never paid attention to the red flags as she saw them and continuously got done wrong. While the I do feel like the story needed to be longer to get more details out, it is an ok read. I do wish the ending with Mush and Kenyatta never happened. It was kinda disheartening and I expected things to go differently.
