I feel like I’m a little biased when I come to this spo because everything that revolves around the Morelli/Constantine universe I just of his love.
I wouldn’t say that fake relationships aren’t really my thing but they’re not something I gravitate towards but for some reason I found myself LOVING the beginning of Eva and Finn’s story. There attraction to each other immediately was so fun. It’s so funny because my all-time favorite book boyfriend is Eva‘s older brother Leo from the Best of Bishops Landing series by Amelia Wilde and I gotta say that so far Finn is pulling in to a close second.
I am upset that I now have to wait for the second book to come out because I am already anxious to see what happens with their story.
I will say that probably is stupid mistake on my apartment was halfway through the book I flipped to the end just to see the blurb about other books and I didn’t ruin something for myself by doing so in the description for the next book. It was something that I sort of saw coming but don’t be dumb like me lol.

Wicked Beauty by Katee Robert

This book gave me a lot of feelings. I don’t know if they’re good feelings or bad feelings however…
I would first off like to say that Katee Robert is one of my all-time favorite authors and I have loved every single thing thus far that I have read by her. However, this book confused me. I really didn’t get into the book until about halfway through and I’m very surprised that I did because I had already convinced myself that this was gonna be the first book that I hated by her.
Pro: I did really like the relationship between Achilles, Helen and Patroclus. I found their banter very fun and it had me laughing a lot. I really liked how Achilles was painted out to be such an asshole but really had the biggest heart and you can really see that. The connection between Helen and Patroclus was instant and so adorable. I found myself swooning at a lot of really tender moments.
The smut in this book is fantastic. That is no surprise because Katee Robert never disappoints with that. I loved the sexual tension that was there. The scenes definitely made me feel like I wish I was in the middle of that threesome to be 100% honest!
Con: I really just hated the entire plot of the book. I just found the story to drag in the first half. Then when I got to the end (which I knew the outcome…I guessed it a long time before) I felt like everything was just rushed. I wish that the book was at least 20 pages longer so we could’ve gotten a little something more in the end.
All in on when I look back at the end of the book I do think that I like the book when I got to the end a little bit more than I had initially when I was reading it. I also was looking at all of the tabs that I had stuck in a lot of the parts that I liked and there are so freaking many of them so clearly I did like it.
All in all I don’t think that my review is helpful in anyway shape or form and that I know!

I have no other words for this book besides…. Absolutely not.
The only reason I’m giving this book 2 stars is because the sex in it was like really good but immediately canceled out but the constant regret every single time. There was absolutely no point to this book and I would never recommend anyone to read it. I really do not like giving books negative reviews because what isn’t my cup of tea could be someone else’s cup of tea and I don’t wanna sway their opinion but genuinely this is the first book in so long that I have read and just felt it is an absolute fail. I gave this book a try a couple of months ago and couldn’t even make it past halfway. I thought to myself hey maybe it was just because I was in a slump and I should give it a try again. What a waste of my time.

This is exactly why I LOVE a good dark mafia book! This gave me EVERYTHING I needed.
I really like how there isn’t a ton of dialogue. The story is so well laid out. The tension is so high all of the time. I found myself just begging for the to bang. When they did….so hot.
I am usually really good and guessing what the climax of the book is…you know like the big plot breaker but this book. Slapped me across the face. I had NO idea what was coming round the bend and I was fucking shocked to say the least. Then I come to find out there is more then one book for these characters….I am deceased.

I actually really enjoyed this book. When I started it I was very unsure. I kind of thought the story dragged a little bit but the further I got into it the more I really started liking the two main characters. I’m not really a car racing type gal but I really like to this book. I didn’t think that I would want to continue the series but I am pleasantly surprised. I did end up crying like a little baby at the end so that’s how you know the book was good.
