This book somehow managed to be a great romance, mystery, and holiday book all wrapped up in one.

Dark and magical. The magic is new to society, and the mashup of contemporary and fantasy is cool.

I liked the magical creatures, but it was otherwise just ok for me.

This one felt like a mashup of paranormal and sci-fi and was a little bit confusing to track. I appreciated the relationship to the two main characters and the strength there. Not sure completely understand what happened, but it was a good quick read as a follow up to book one.
