What I liked: I liked the relationship between Audrey Rose and Thomas and actually found Thomas an interesting character. I also liked the relationship between Audrey Rose and her brother, Nathaniel up until he committed suicide. I also found Liza very interesting. Although she lived up to her mother’s expectations, Liza didn’t try to make Audrey Rose live by those expectations and didn’t care about her being interested in forensics.

What I didn’t like: The only thing I did not like was Audrey Rose’s father and brother bringing up her being a woman every few pages or so. I get it that this story takes place in the 19th century where women were being treated in a different way, but bringing up the fact that Audrey Rose is woman and the world is dangerous felt repetitive to me.

I love seeing my girls together and how it kept up with the same cheerfulness like in volumes 1 & 2 of the show. It took me back to the time where I stayed up late watching rwby for the first time. I also loved the bit of white rose content we got.
