Review title: Where'd the Spark Go?

I felt it fell short of my expectations. Josh just doesn't quite match the vibe of Alex and Rhys. The timing of the agreement also felt a bit too early. The previous book has its own unique charm, but this one didn't quite live up to the standards I'd been hoping for.

"Was that another compliment, Mr. Larsen? Two in two years. Careful, or I'll think you like me." "Take it however you want," I drawled. "But I'll like you the day you like me."

THANK YOU.

Thank you Rhys Larsen for raising the bar standard so high that no one can meet it. Why you gotta be so perfect?? So now I can't just want a man, he has to be as amazing as Rhys. Thanks for making it hard, bae 😘😘

I was blown away by Huang's writing in TG. In the first book, her writing came off a little childish to me, but I was so wrong. This book is truly a MASTERPIECE. I loved both part I and II to death <3 It was so addicting that I couldn't stop thinking about them even when I went to bed at night.

My life has been completely consumed by them atp. 😍

The drama was ABSOLUTELY captivating, I couldn't get enough of it. It was like watching an entire film, so captivating and breathtaking. The chemistry between Bridget and Rhys was fantastic, and the author pulled off the trope perfectly. Standing ovation for Huang, her writing was incredible!!!!

Maybe if Riftan learns how to have some self control I'd give it a solid five stars πŸ˜”

I'm not sure why the book was labeled as dark genre. It reads more like a Wattpad story than anything else. The characters are too flat and the plot is too generic and uninspired. And the writing itself, well...let's just say it's not Shakespeare.

I was really looking forward to this book, thanks to the booktokers and booktwt oomfs. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype.

Honestly, I was more intrigued by Ava's attempts to provoke reactions from Alex than anything else. The revenge plot seemed forced, contrived, and unnecessary. Additionally, it didn't make sense and felt flat and overly dense. In the end, nothing really worked for me in this story and I was left feeling very bored and unimpressed.

Overall, I was thoroughly disappointed by the book, and I honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I've read this book, so you don't have to! β™‘ wouldn't want to stress you out.

The vampire plot twist left me confused. I was wondering why the polices were after her when they saw the blood. I also felt that the neighbourhood subplot was confusing and didn't add up completely. Why none of the characters explained themselves and why they were following along with Atlas' plan to scare Hazel πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

5β˜† for PY. Doojoon is down bad for Heewon 😭 the fact is that he CAN'T even spend his days without touching her. His love language is making me go feral. Why can't irl men be as perfect as men written by women?

And the last few chapters?!!! Byeori is so her dad. So much alike, and even smart at the age of seven. I almost had a heart attack when I saw that Byeori and Junseo had grown up. That means Doojoon and Heewon are in their 50s now 😭😭 I'M SOBBING THEY'RE LITERALLY FICTIONAL CHARACTERS

Aaaaand 3 or 2.25β˜† for Sehyun and Taewoo's story I guess??? I mistook her for Byeori lmaooo

My first read by KS was Close Quarters, and I've been saying that I love her writing ever since. And I still do; until now, no one has been able to change my mind.

I've never read a book like this beforeβ€” a journalist that assigned to follow an athlete around, giving a behind the scenes glimpse into some of the action? Yeah, you could say that.

Maven has never gotten over her past trauma that made it hard for her to trust others, including Vince Cool. But this man is determined to gain her trust, and boy, does he do it! He's a HUGE green flag to me. You can't say otherwise. Maven's struggle to overcome her trauma and trust Vince was incredibly relatable β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

+ I'm so excited for Jax and Grace's book!! The epilogue wasn't enough, I want MORE πŸ‘ΉπŸ‘ΉπŸ‘Ή
