I really don't know how to review this. This was really tense and the tension was well written. The resolution was really interesting. The writing was really corny though. I rolled my eyes all the time. It felt really Gone Girl monologue all the time.

Bottom line is i enjoyed my time but the book itself is pretty meh.

What an ending to a series I've had a little bit of a rough time with. I couldn't really vibe with Jade War.

Jade Legacy lives up to its name. It's so great. Fonda Lee does not shy away from killing characters, so this book was sprinkled with emotional moments all throughout. Even for characters I didn't like, I couldn't help but shed a tear.

Anden is one of my favourite characters I've had the chance to read. I wish I could be like him.

I really liked the time jumps although I can't really picture the characters aging up. It's a flaw I have.

My main complaint was the ending was a bit anticlimactic, but they ended up resolving that reallyyyy quickly.
I should have known Ayt Mada's sleevefull of tricks wouldn't leave me hungry for drama.

The plot and the characters are really good. It makes up for the lack of setting we get compared to a book like The Eye Of the World.

I really liked Shallan and Kaladin's chapters.

I didn't care for the interludes. The flashbacks were alright but I always thought they came at the wromg moment.

The writing style is okay. I don't really care about such things. I'll just have to adjust myself to the really modern prose (even in the dialogue).

A breeze to read. You really feel that it's the beginning of SOMETHING great.

I saw the film a few years ago. Soo happy I read the book. It's very inspiring. I cried multiple times. Cheryl Strayed writes with such raw emotion you couldn't have it any other way. I'm definitely going to reread it because there are surprisingly so many names they just end up flying by.

Overall very good and satisfying. It was a little bit confusing especially at the end. I have three problems with it mostly and it's just abandonned characters : Elaida, Leilwin and Liandrin. Also a little mad about the Seanchan and Moghedien.

Not as good as The Gathering Storm. Was a bit disappointed by the whole Mat tower thing. But less so when it got complicated again. Perrin's out of timeline storyline was confusing a little and maybe overly long. However, overall this book is very solid. One of the better half of the series. The table is set. Bring on Tarmon Gaidon!

Not really my vibe. Not what I expected. It was too specific at times. Maybe Didion wanted to show how she couldn't help fixating on John by taking us through some of the memories she had. I mean idk. I prefered the part when she spoke about HER. Her strength, her weakness.

I kind of feel bad I'm rating this lower than the previous book I read to which I have given five stars. However, I wanted to stress how this book, albeit excellent, is not on the same level as it two predecessors.

I have to say, the trilogy as a whole is probably the most impactful work of fiction I have consummed. Backman knows his emotions. He sprinkled a couple of lines in there that will be sure to force a tear or two.

I must say I haven't forgiven him for changing the title from "Those Tho Run Into Fire".

I'm in awe. The amount of things these characters have accomplished is crazy. Their journey has been a blessing and their strength ; an inspiration. The Wheel Of Time (and The Gathering Storm specifically) are a gift that I will forever treasure.
