This book is written like a fanfic and there are too many plot holes to count. The tropes and plot were predictable and basic, so were the plot twists. This book started out pretty well, but then I started realizing that it wasn't just like cruel prince and the selection, it is cruel prince + the selection. The writing started getting really chaotic. The characters were also really inconsistent, one chapter ivy was a strong, smart character, and the next she was just being dumb and annoying. I found Emmet and Bram's characters to be really basic as well. The author didn't even try to make them different, they were just evil versions of maxon.
Graphic: Outing, Classism
Moderate: Sexual content, Torture
Minor: Sexism, Toxic relationship
Evelyn is just way too annoying and the selection series has always seemed shallow and pointless too me.

I really like the way Marie Lu writes her books, she's one of my favourite author. Wildcard was a good end to the warcross duology. I really like the world and the way the characters and relationships are portrayed.
