I read this book when it first released but in lou of the film on Netflix I went back and listened to the audiobook. First, I would highly recommend listening to the audiobook, even over watching the film. While the ending of this book isn't my favorite I love how Tia Williams handles these characters and the age gap trope. There are a lot of pop culture references that give 2010's realness, but I enjoyed it 😂
The book had such a twist at the end. At one point I was crying so hard I couldn't see. I read it in one sitting.

This book brought back my joy for reading; the storytelling was excellent. I was invested from the beginning to the end in the journey of the identical twins Desiree and Stella.
