I think this was the first time I read something like this, so its refreshing to read something that has a dynamic of a widower with daughters and a confident young adult girl who embraces her sexuality. I liked how they started from colleagues to colleagues with benefits because it all more makes sense for both leads to start as fuck buddies due to their circumstances than jumped straight to being lovers. After reading each chapter, I couldn’t guess what would happen next since it’s unpredictable (at least for me) and that’s why I loved it. There’s a thrill in the process while reading it. I love Madeleine’s character. I super loved it! She knows her worth, she’s confident, intelligent and most of all she’s self-aware. She’s also giving a girl’s girl vibes. She’s literally someone you want to be in your life or someone you’re grateful for to have. While, Zach’s character was a roller coaster ride of emotions. It’s understandable to feel confused and valif to question his faithfulness and love for his ex-wife. I also loved his daughter’s characters. I liked that one scene when one of his daughters age-shamed him. Lol.

The whole “hall pass” plot thing was got me intrigued in this story, especially with the conditions stated on the card. After reading the Hall Pass card, it made me think how would the story unfold based on the review I’d read that made me read this in the first place. I had a heads up that the MMC was a living definition of obsessed, but I didn’t expect that it would be over-the-top jealous, possessive and obsessed kind of guy. I was thrilled at the first half, but it died down when the unhinged things happened to Chloe. To be honest, half way through the book, I was having second thoughts if I should finish or DNF it. But since, I wanted to know what would happen to their relationship with how things started between them, I gave it a go. The push and pull between the MCs was too tiring to read and repeatedly broke my heart since it goes on with several chapters, but also understandable given the situation of the FMC. It was A LOT to take in, but I like it regardless. It’s a good read, but I probably would not re-read this book.

There’s nothing much to it, but I like the consistency of the plot that aligns with the title of the book which revolves around “malice”. I love the narration of each characters, their mannerisms, the choice of words on every banters between the main characters, and also I like how the supporting characters has their own voice through their words and body language. I LOVE THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE FMC AND MMC! I could feel it in my bones. Their chemistry made me smiling, giggling and kicking my feet. I love how the FMC handled MMC’s personality and him being unhinged. I love how smooth the MMC with his words and actions while also know how to dirty talk with his girl. I also love the dynamics of the MCs between their circle of friends! It was so fun to read. The pictures posted on their IGs was something I find quite entertaining to read. Also, their smut scenes were so steamy which turned me on

There’s nothing much into the plot, but it’s entertaining to read enough to finish it in one go. What made it new and interesting to read from the first two books was the small interest of Cecily towards Landon (which was an MMC to next book). I like love triangles. I like how there’s psychology-related information in this book since it relates to main characters, especially Cecily. I love the comparison of things to their situation. I love the characters. I love how bold Cecily towards Jeremy. I love their dynamics, chemistry and I love Jeremy’s personality.
