It’s a tough read with Susannah gone, I feel the loss of her in every character and in every page of that book. True representation of characters going through loss, especially from cancer. Belly and Conrad broke up and had back and forth and back and forth. I don’t know who I’m rooting for anymore, I’m confused just like Belly is

I liked it, i saw a lot of my younger self in our protagonist Amy. The epilogue seemed a little anti-climactic because we didn’t see a whole lot of growing in the story. we saw a lot of fumbling and a lot of messing up, and then a perfect ending.

overall i really enjoyed reading through the lens of 2010’s queer communities in the Bible Belt. A nice perspective to get in a post gay marriage society

It is really incredible to have a book that represents my gender / gender expression and un-sexuality. I’m so thankful to have eir story told in such a way that makes me feel at home in my own body as I navigate the long journey of trans identity
