I had such a hard time not getting a major ick from Charlie and the book just felt loaded with cliches. I wanted more as I enjoyed the first books about the Florick’s but this one just did not do it for me. Much more run of the mill basic romance.

I would say this book felt like more of a collection of stories then a really through and through novel but still great interesting women.

A lot of people are saying this was not their favorite Abby book, and it wasn’t mine either, but I did enjoy it more than the previous one. I would say the romance felt a little pushed and the book felt less deep than her others. A lot of the time it felt like she was telling you they were so in love with each other and not showing us. That was my biggest problem with the book. Overall not bad though.

Cute!! Honestly a great summer quick read to make you feel a little warm and fuzzy. The plot is not deep and I know this one won’t stick with me but no real complaints.

That being day I did do the audiobook and I’m never a huge fan of the author narrating.

Love love love. A true Taylor Jenkins Reid classic. I basically never cry in books anymore but this one got me. Just great.

Love. What a sweet kind reflective book about life and everything that comes with it.

It’s just so slow and the characters are so dislikable. Honestly, first 50% I was really on board I felt like it had potential and I was along for the ride but it just didn’t pay off. Even with the main characters coming to realizations about their own flaws they still seemed half blind to their faults.
Also the description of Cassie was borderline offensive to all plus sized people I just felt like they talked about how repulsive Cassie was to an extreme degree. Then you have Cherry who literally never seemed to accept that fact that, she too, was kind of shitty person. And finally, you have Zoe who maybe had the most development but I could never get a grasp why she did half of what she did.

It’s not the most uplifting book you’ll read but if you’re a fan of the hunger games books, you knew Haymitch’s story wasn’t going to be.

There were times when I was frustrated with Haymitch as a character for making the decisions he did. I also think there are pieces of the story that I didn’t think needed to be there. Overall though this book really felt like a true return to the hunger games universe and it felt like reading that first book all over again.

So gooooooood. This is easily one of my all time favourites. It was done so artfully and was so intelligent and captivating I couldn’t put it down. No notes.
