The big cities always attract us for tons of opportunities to make a better life, but we also can’t deny that the rates of crimes like rape, murder, drug dealing, and human trafficking are increasing day by day. What is justice by Harish Muralidhar holds such a story.
The story starts with the panic in the police force due to the series of rape and murder of women in major cities Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Three brilliant officers James, Ajmal, and Sathyadev are summoned to solve this case. They all have a track record of solving critical cases and are devoted to their duty. There is a mastermind who is spreading the poison of crime in every nook and corner of these 3 cities, and also disturbed the personal life of these three police officers. Is there any serial killer? Will justice be served?
The plot is full of twists and actions which make this read interesting. The writing style is simple but the grammatical errors and may disturb the reading experience. Overall this is a good book to read.

The women who saved my life by Himanshu Goel is a unique fiction brought to life through verse.
The structure of the read is unique as Himanshu doesn’t use typical prose but instead uses poetic verses to tell the story of Sameer and Jaspreet. The rhyme scheme provides a lyrical quality to the storytelling of both protagonist’s emotions and mental health issues and easily connects with the readers. The verse style makes it a quick read.
The author weaves the various issues of life, hope, suicide, and mental health with each verse. For me, this book has managed to make a special place in my heart, and looking forward to reading more work from the author.

Do you know there is a difference between understanding between gender and sex?
Sex deals with biological differences between humans, while gender refers to the socially constructed roles, behavior, functions, and identities of girls, boys, men, and women. Gender diverse the people.
Gender is an ongoing discursive practice, which is currently structured around the concept of heterosexuality as the norm of human relationships. compulsory, heterosexuality is installed in gender through the production of taboos against homosexuality. The condition is even getting=g worse as LGBTQ are stigmatized and stereotyped in a bad way, leading to prejudice and homophobia towards them.
Simon vs The homo sapiens Agenda is a perfect read to understand the emotional twirls of a teenage boy in a journey of self-acceptance.
About the book:
This is the story of 17 years old teen Simon Spier. He has everything a teen needs a group of good friends, a happy family, and a good score in studies. The only issue is that he holds a secret and that secret makes his life stressful when the boy who blackmailed and bullied him shares his secret only with one person, who he emailed throughout the read. the mystery of that person makes this book entertaining.
My Musings:
The message conveyed by the author of being afraid of change and being judged is so relatable. Talking about the character “Simon” is my favorite one. He is a witty and light-hearted boy, with whom any teenager can easily relate. the journey of Simon as an individual to open up and accepting himself is narrated beautifully. The other characters Leh, Abby, Nick are all well crafted. I like the normal and happy family of Simon.
Overall, this is a fun and cute read with a deep and strong message.

I want to thank NetGalley and the author for providing me with a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

What will you do when you must choose between survival and duty?
Two delightful characters, a spooky town, and a mythical creature what else one can need into a horror-thriller book. Shaula is a perfect blend of thrill and horror.
The story revolves around two agents Grim and Ben, they have a task to deliver the mysterious cargo to a man in the mysterious town, where most residents have left the town. The things getting uncanny soon after they arrive in the town.
Though it is a second book of the series, you can read it as a standalone, as the character development and story are woven together very well. I love the way the author develops and the relationship of Grin and Ben, it was fun and sympathetic at the same time. the sci-fi elements and punch of thrills make this an interesting read.

"As I began to love myself, I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health – food, people, things, situations, and everything that drew me down and away from myself. At first, I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is “LOVE OF ONESELF” ― Charlie Chaplin

Love yourself by Rakhi Kapoor is about learning to love the self in different aspects of life. The author shares her personal experiences and exercises to help readers to connect with the concept of self-love. Love plays a fundamental role in development just as any nutritional food. In this book, Rakhi talks about it quite well and guides readers to make different choices, enjoy food, have good health, and relationships, and many other factors that will help them change their lives for the better.

This is a good book to delve into the self and see where changes need to be made for positive transformation. I like the author’s approach to the particular topic of self-love- she makes it interactive and pulls in readers to participate so they can decide on their daily decision to make their life fulfilling and satisfactory. Everything about this book is captivating- the concept, author’s simple writing, and personal touch- and it is definitely, a book that can be added to one’s collection.

“Colorblind” is one of those books where I read the first three lines of blurb and knew that I would amaze and completely love it.

This is a full perspective-based dystopian story where being able to see multiple colors is considered a fatal disease and a crime. The protagonist Lohit resides in a world where society is divided based on colors Red, Green, Yellow, Blues, Violets, and Greens. One can see only one color and other than all is grey. Lohit is a red and simple and curious person. One day he met with a girl with Red lipstick Anjum, and that meeting changed his life upside down. Who is that girl? Is Lohit be able to bring back his life on track?

The theme of the book is unique and with deep meaning. The narrative is relentless and forces you to witness the different perspectives of the human being. I love the theme based on how color affects human perception and behavior. I find the tinge of Color Psychology in the plot.
Overall, this an enthralling page-turner that you just can't put down. Though I gobbled it up in one sitting, I will suggest reading it at a slow pace to absorb and understand the book’s perspective. Will recommend this book to all.

“She used to race with the rivers, rest on the mountain slopes, chat with the birds and trees. She was fearless, strong, indomitable, and highly opinionated about the social structure that limited and predefined the roles of everyone.”
These lines not only resonate with the Hridya protagonist of the book but also well suited for many fierce girls in our society. Hirdya a self-driven, intellectual, and influential girl who makes her way in the patriarchal society. She is the one who is up to take all the challenges. One day he finds out a diary of her secret admirer. Who is her secret admirer?
The philosophical and pragmatic approach in the whole story is the best part for me and, also makes it an insightful read. I feel it a character-driven story, as the readers can easily feel connected with Hridya’s journey. Oh! how can I forgot to mention the simple yet beautiful timeline transition between past and present. Overall, this is a fairly good read.

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, an awe-inspiring name presents a simple and greatest LGBTQ romance. I pick this Benjamin Alire Sáenz’s award-winning story for pride month read.
This is a beautiful story of two boys Ari and Dante struggling to govern love and identity as they discover their place in the world. Both are with contrast personality, Dante a lover of poetry and philosophy and open like a book, while Ari an introvert, struggling with his loneliness, sexuality, and anger. Ari and Dante bring the summer vibes and carefree adolescent days to readers. The emotional truths in between the lines make me shares the journey with Ari. I feel every laugh heard, every kiss shared and every tear shed.
The storyline balances the many themes of self-discovery, discrimination against LGBTQ society (when Dante get beaten up because of his sexuality), Isolation (Ari’s frustration towards his family and the silence on his brother incident), identity crisis (As both the boys struggle with what it means to be Mexican) and coming of age (the journey of two boys who are on verge of becoming adults).
Though there is not much turn and twists, and no drama, the straightforward, and concise writing of Saenze succeeds to make it a slow burner. This is the kind of book which brings both smiles and tears to my eyes at the same time. I would highly recommend this book to all the teens who are confused and trying to figure out this world and also the adults to understand the community whose culture is beautiful and deserves to be seen.
