It honestly was not bad, mara the 3rd person narration was a bit confusing.

hai๐๐๐ I've never rolled my eyes so much reading a book , not as much as while I was reading the ritual by Shantel Tessier ๐คฃ๐. Heck, I've read fanfics better than this.
The author over explains more than just telling us the story๐๐ฎ, and she /he has this thing where she/he uses the same expressions/ phrases or repeats the same sentences again and again, like let it rest bestie we get It, the boys always and will never hurt children and women๐
Not much is really going on, honestly, especially after the codes go missing. Like guys, what plan are y'all working on to get that person who has the codes, SHOW USโผ๏ธโผ๏ธโผ๏ธโผ๏ธ.
Another thing that vexes me is the author saying how dangerous this Tristen is over and over๐๐๐ Like rest, we get it. he is dangerous. SHOW US ke or SHUT IT hawu ๐ซต๐พ๐ฎ.
And then we come to the reason they hate each other,๐๐๐, 74% in to the book and I still don't know why๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐ค๐ค, Ke-ENGโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ like Spill already yho.

Honestly, the writer could have split this book in half and gave that half to the 1st book cause there were a lot of things happening that were climaxes that didn't quite hit.

Also, what happened to felix after all those years excluding being sober? Like Jake got clean, fixed his relationship with his family, got friends, and became a fire fighter while felix became a proper ophan and got a dog? like, didn't he have dreams past being alive in 4 years?
The spice is honestly a 1 ๐ถ, nothing to rave about.

- The book is basically about 2 junkies that decide to break the rules tsa AA and start dating when they shouldn't and then they relapse and try again this sobriety thing while trying to be each others family. Nothing much really happens.
Also, what happened to felix after all those years excluding being sober? Like Jake got clean, fixed his relationship with his family, got friends, and became a fire fighter while felix became a proper ophan and got a dog? like, didn't he have dreams past being alive in 4 years?
The spice is honestly a 1 ๐ถ, nothing to rave about.

I finally listened to the audio book, and I just realized Something. whenever Brandon was with Niko and he would say Niko is destroying him, he is pulling him apart and he should stay away from him cause he sees this as a bad thing, what was actually happening was that Brandon was being himself, Niko was slowing unpeeling and letting the real Brandon surface๐ญโฅ๏ธin

It was fine. cookie cutter to the max. Like its all the famous, popular tropes everyone likes put together as one book. Billionaire, You are mine, poor boy saved by rich man, accepting parents... the parent acceptance was so unrealistic. I appreciated that the sport of choice was not hockey for a change.
