If its little bit a less boring this book would have deserved 5 stars. I took forever to finish this book not because its boring but it took little time to capture my attention. But damn its an awesome book. I heard [a:Terry Pratchett|1654|Terry Pratchett|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1235562205p2/1654.jpg] in one of the games i played in goodreads. I was intrigued so when i went through his book list i found out this book written by [a:Terry Pratchett|1654|Terry Pratchett|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1235562205p2/1654.jpg] and [a:Neil Gaiman|1221698|Neil Gaiman|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1234150163p2/1221698.jpg] and i had to try. Hence this review.

The first thought which was going through my mind when i was half way through the book was.. How can two intelligent grown men can cook up this book. And then all the while i was reading this book for some reason i was thinking of Tom Sawyer. Ask me why??? Its ok will tell you even if you don't ask me. Its because if Tom Sawyer was all grown up and he is this brilliant human being and done PHD in English literature and he is very knowledgeable but still could be his 10 years self. I.e He's gown up brilliantly with his child like thoughts in tact..... Then HE would have written this book may be with Huck Finn throwing some of his thoughts too. That's good this book is.

This is not hahaha funny but funny all the same. I had awesome time reading thing. I actually laughed out loud few times. Its funny in [a:P.G. Wodehouse|7963|P.G. Wodehouse|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1198684105p2/7963.jpg] kind of way. But brilliantly written.

Am sorry Belle Aurora i changed it to 3 stars from 4. Am writing this after reading for the second time. Dont get me wrong. I still love this book and adore it. BUT you should understand that i was super irritated with the leading lady TINA. How come i missed it the first time am not sure. I some times forgot that age was 28 something and i felt as if some old age mom was talking. Like "No honey, These are not for you. That batch is for you" or "Dont do that sweetheart". Honey this honey that. Grrrrrr. I loved all the characters. Max, Ghost, Nick. Actually i liked the guys in this better than the girls. They call Tina sweet, good, goofball but i call it moronic and shitty.

Am soooo sorry if am giving you a wrong idea about this book because i enjoyed it tremendously even the second time. I loved the meeting, the cupcakes, Especially the SEX. OH MY GOD. Sex was so awesome in this. She nailed the sex scenes. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK. JUST BE PREPARED FOR THE IRRITATING TINA. BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM READING IT

I was going through my read list and when i came across this book and i was wondering where and when i read this book and whats the story was... That's very bad for a book and the writer to be so forgetful. I only remember the book after the read the story line. This book is about a orphan who is potty mouthed, can kick ass and ridiculously beautiful and not in a typical model kind. So some one one see hers and offers a job as a model for their cosmetics company. She is from the wrong side and soon becoming one of the most wanted woman. I really dint find her all that Potty Mouthed and not even careless as the author wanted to show. She is too feely kind of a girl and somehow this is not a very impressive kind of book. For someone who claims to be so careless and stuff she very easily allows 3 guys to play her family. REALLY. its a fun read but now a days its getting difficult for me to like a book. But i guess you can read it once.

My first John Sanford and Lucas Davenport Book. WOW i read some 800 odd books and NOW I READ This. AM ashamed of my self. OK i accept i read lot of trashy ones but hey i read some really really good ones and this writer should have been included in my "read" list long before now. Better late than never i guess. But how i wish i read him before so that i would have at least read few more.

Let me first start with How i like politics. I love politics rather i love to hate politics. I love throwing mud on them i love to argue i love to trash them and tell at every possible occasion how unfair the politicians are how they are looting us and of-course how all the politicians are assholes and BASTARDS etc etc etc but hey i can appreciate a politician too if i like what he\she is doing.

This is a political crime, murder, investigation and WHAT a well written book it is. I LOVED LUCAS. He is our hero. and he drives a. He is a kick ass investigator, does not care if is fired because he is rich like in RICH. He does not need money. He is super smart. like he is brilliant. He is good at math, his instincts are very well thought out and he has some very interesting friends. Apparently those interesting friends have their own books so i have very big book list to read. There is no suspense for us. because we will know in the beginning itself who and why they are killed and all we have to read is how our kick ass hero finds out. MAN its a awesome book. I was seriously thinking who could play Lucas if this was made into a movie. We need a ridiculously good looking, dignified, classy and some one who could carry of being spoilt rich as well as a rough looking and looks incredible and suitable in Porsche. This is how i was imagining Lucas Davenport... I even like his name :)

I read the book then I saw the movie.. Which was better??? Am still not sure. Though the concept of the book was awesome I found it boring. I read this when I was around 15.. I could not complete it then. Even though I finished it now and I LOVED the story I found the details little too much especially all that legal and court stuff and the action was way too little. I was with Carl Lee from the beginning of the story. And the shooting those two bastards was not satisfying enough. They should not have died. they should have been castrated and left them to dogs and put them in jail so that they would be raped and fucked day and night (I am sorry guys). I admired Jack for taking up the case BUT the way Grisham has made Jack into attention seeking, not good enough lawyer was really really upsetting. Maybe the real world works like that but am really not sure. And the Jury!! Lets say... even if the jury was biased how many people will not sympathise with the father. What upset me most was how the story was totally about how to win the case and Grisham made all the characters pretty weak and by the end the case was won with out any credit to Jack, Roark or Carl lee, or so many people who fought for the case. I wish the book was more about the little girl rather than those two good for nothing bastards. I don't know.... but I still pretty much liked the book even if the HERO'S were not given enough credit. I wish this case was given to Godfather rather than taken it to the court but may be Jack and Carl lee din't know Godfather personally.
