I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT THE WHOLE TIME! Actually, I didn’t know it because I suspected pretty much everyone at some point so I would’ve been right no matter what. This was a fun read. I don’t know if it technically falls into the cozy category because parts of it were tense and there were some heavy themes throughout, but it has a cute & loveable cast of characters, and it was a solid mystery with a great setting. I already checked out the second book from the library!

DNF - I’m 57% of the way through but I’m not really connecting at the moment. Maybe I’ll come back to it in the future.

Jo’s work explores love & heartache & home in three sections themed by color: orange, green, and purple. While reading “Marigold,” I felt like I was in a field with the poet, heavy with doubt. In “Jungle,” I traversed a dreamscape with our dear narrator and finally found solid ground again with them in “Orchid.”
Jo’s work is both deeply personal and deeply relatable as our narrator navigates heartache, confusion, doubt, second chances, and finally finds strength and solid ground.

I’m not rating it because my library loan expired 65% of the way through, but some of these essays were really interesting. I was mostly interested in learning about alternate death rituals in the U.S. so I found those essays the most intriguing of the bunch.

I just love this book - I’ve listened to it several times now!

I skipped around in this one because a lot of these topics are covered in Maintenance Phase. No rating because I didn’t end up reading the whole thing (I prefer the podcast!)

I think I loved this one just as much, if not more, than the first! Looking forward to the third installment!
