This was a funny romcom. I will admit Shep wasn't my favorite at times. He pushed boundaries a little and I didn't like that.
I still think it was a cute romcom and the bantering was hilarious. I love witty comebacks.

Audiobook read.
I literally listened to this my whole shift at work lol
I was a little skeptical while reading Maybe in another Life at first. It was a bit slow and kind of boring. But after a while it got a lot better.
Hannah Martin is 29 and has no idea what she direction he life is going. She meets with her high school boyfriend at a bar. But what will her life be like if she decides to leave with him for the night? What would happen if she decides to doesn't? You follow Hannah through both fates.
Life is not always going to be so simple. Do your best with what life has thrown at you. Every day is a journey, give yourself grace, take it one day at a time. We get caught up in all the things that go wrong or could go wrong we forget about the things right in front of us. Things that we have in this moment is a blessing. We should cherish it. Even the things we don't have, whether it's something we don't have right now or just wasn't meant for us, could be looked at as a blessing. Some things are just not meant for us, and that's okay. Being content with what you have and may not have may be good for your mental health and a good way to look at life.

I am in shock at what I just read. Irreversible by Jennifer Hartmann and Chelley St. Clair was a rollercoaster ride. The twist and turns will have you at the edge of your set. The mystery and thrill will have you're heart racing. It is in fact a wild ride. And the romance was the icing on the cake. π€πΎ
Don't get me wrong I'm always down for some romance and spice but the mystery aspects of this book kept me locked in. Both Everly and Isaac are trapped and held captive. They form a bond and try to work together to figure out how to escape. There is so much that's happening in this place. The capturer and his accomplices are beyond creepy. You're stuck trying to figure out whats his motive because it's all so crazy! I honestly couldn't put it down. I got to page 400 and didn't even realize it was that longπ. It was just that good!
If you've read books by Jennifer and Chelley, you know that their books have heavy topic and situations. They pull at your heartstrings, they challenge you and just know you are going to shed a few tears. The main characters Everly and Isaac go through horrific things. You witness them both work through their trauma from this event and from their past. Everly is slowly rediscovering herself. I was proud of Everyly after all she had been through. She stuck up for herself, learned to stand her ground and wasnt going to take any bs from anyone, including Isaac. Isaac is fight his own demons and learning how to let down his walls. The dynamic of their relationship was hard to grasp at first. There are quite a few ups and downs. The way Isaac handles himself and situations are morally gray. But you see them kind of mold each other, and they are alike in many ways. Then you start to think maybe they really are compatible. This is not a swooning romantic love story. So please make sure you are prepared for the not so typical love story.
Also, that last page has me SO excited because I was not ready let any of these characters go! π

I devoured Immortal Dark by Tigest Girma. I'm so happy I read this now and not a few months ago. I don't think I was ready to read it. If I had read it earlier last year, I think I would have had a different outlook and rating. I can understand why some may not have liked it so much, but it didn't ruin it for me. Kidan is very hard to like. She's rough around the edges and reacts before she thinks. Which got her caught up A LOT of the times. There were a few times I had to remind myself that this is YA (even though a lot of what was happening didn't seem very YA).
I liked a lot of the characters. Taj was my favorite. He was witty and made me laugh. I liked the mystery, suspense, and action. The writing was done very well, especially with the action parts. The description of the characters was Chef's kiss!π€πΎ everyone was beautiful and gorgeous. I just need to see more fan art! π I want to see it come to life.
When I got to the 50% mark, I could not put it down, and I had to finish it. I stayed up until 2 in the morning. I want to say so much, but I don't want to spoil it. The twist in the plot was good, and I'm excited to read the second book. I have a few theories as to what may happen next.

One Dark Night by Hanna Richell is a good crime thriller, and it's full of suspense. A young girl at a boarding school had gone missing and is soon found dead in the woods. She was last seen by her fellow schoolmates, but no one knows what happened to her. Detective Ben is put on the case to find out who killed her, but his daughter is now a suspect. She's keeping secrets, and so is everyone else in this small town.
I really enjoyed the pace of this book. You really don't know who the suspect is. Trust me, I thought I figured out who it was, and I was completely off. π You think it's one person. But then something else happens, and it takes you off course. There were multiple plot twists. I was tricked!
