Let me start by saying do not read this if you are triggered by or do not like religious trauma/sacrilege. This is not the book for you.

I will always champion L Evelands books. They write some amazing MM Dark romances. This might be on top for one of the darkest and ‘disturbing’ I’ve read by them and I loved every page. There is some graphic content and unaliving for artistic creation so know that going in.

This story is Micah and Ezra’s story. One artist become protege and one artist professor known for his incredible works. Micah is known in campus for his ‘disturbing’ religious paintings. Ezra sees his darkness and wants to harness it, to mold it as his, this is their story. It’s dark and it’s gritty, and I loved the writing of transcendence, the way Eveland wrote about art and death.

There is a plot, but it’s small compared to the relationship building, and it’s fast paced. With that being said I think it’s was perfect for portraying how intense and obsessed Ezra is with Micah, and how Micah takes to the transformation of self, even surpassing expectations.

There is a scene in which the ‘Lords Prayer’ is used for absolutely blasphemy and I was shook. Like it was so incredibly hot, thank you Eveland for writing it. I didn’t know I needed it.

This is my first book by Garver. I happened to see it in a booksta post and something called to me, so I picked it up.

Holy moly am I glad I did. The first part of the book is told in alternating past and present. It read pretty seamlessly and didn’t hinder the story. We follow Finnian and Cassian, both gods who view death in a very different light.

There’s enemies to lovers vibes through the first part and a bit of a slow burn but it helped to build the story. The mythos and world building was absolutely top tier, very deep and complex web built but delightful to read.

I was not expecting the ending. At all. The way she took the story and emotionally drove it, was amazing. I truly loved how she wrapped it up and ended the story for Finny and Cassian.

There is a bit of spice but it’s pretty mild and barely open door, but still very good. Overall I am so glad I read this.

Yet another book I can add to the ever growing list of books I love by Fae Quinn.

This has been recommended to me a few times and I just got to reading it. But damn I should have read it sooner.

There’s definitely a slow burn, a build up of character if you will. I love how oblivious Marshall is until suddenly he isn’t. There are mentions of hints all through the book and Far does a good job of showing them but then being able to ignore and move past them without complete disregard that they were there.

Felix is such a sweet kind hearted little gremlin. And I fell in love with him just as Marshall did. He has such a soft side presented, but he definitely has claws that will come out to defend Marshall. They are ultimately perfect for one another.

I always love the paranormal edge that Quinn writes and this was no different. Highly recommend this if you want a fun yet slightly different kind of experience.

What a cute holiday read!

This is pretty spot on for what I imagine happens when teenagers play matchmaker. Even unknowingly.

You have grump tattooed lumberjack meets literal sunshine baker who is as sweet as icing. It goes just as you expect.  Baxter is always smiling and Paxton can’t stand it. They get matched up as Christmas ‘buddies’ and shenanigans ensue.

The spice is very nice, even if it’s a tad naughty. I highly enjoyed this as a cute, quick holiday read and I look forward to the other 2 in this series. This one is very low angst, and definitely gives you a sweet HEA. And it’s very deserved.

Ugh I am 100% immersed in my Holiday Era.

This was a wonderful, wonderful read. I was so happy with the   Anxiety/mental health Rep. as a person who struggles with anxiety myself, I could absolutely relate.

Opposites attract was beautifully done here, and how Ben knew how to handle the anxiety and that he couldn’t push Robin before he was ready. I’m not usually one for single dad tropes but this was done really well and added to the story, didn’t distract me from it.

The spice was so naughty and nice! The size difference was very nice and there was just enough kink to definitely make it 🔥 Spicy 🔥

Little Red Riding Hood is a favorite retelling of mine. This one absolutely took the cake. This is my first TJ Rose book and I will absolutely be reading more of their work.

I love shifters, good banter, engaging story, a HEA, touch him and 💀, and I am a SUCKER for a size difference. *chefs kiss*.

Wim (the big bad wolf) is searching for a way to return to his pack. Red is just trying to prove himself worthy.  It’s not always the best idea to tag along on a forest adventure with a stranger that can turn into a wild wolf and eat you, but it goes alright for Red in the end.

Under all the grit of the story there is a softness and a light shone on the struggle of self worth and what it can do to a person. I loved how it was woven into the story and want just magicked away it explained away. It was addressed and you can feel the effects.

I loved how Rose tied up the ending, there’s a twist that maybe I should have seen coming but I didn’t. It definitely evokes emotions I feel as my expecting to have, but that makes it all the better.
