This was a wild ride of a read. It felt so really like I kept looking up if the band was based off of another band because it felt so raw. I absolutely loved the store telling. I loved seeing the different perspectives of bandmates, journalists, producers, authors, and family members. I was very invested in this story. I’m not sure I loved the way it ended because I like a little a drama, but all good things come to an end which opens up new beginnings.

WOW, I loved the art style in this book. I sometimes got a little confused with the plot and wish the author went into more detail about Diamond the cat and the shadow people. Other than that, it was a good read.

This book had it cute moments for me but I felt very meh while reading it. I really didn’t didn’t like Poppy that much just because of how long she pushed just being friends with Alex. I did really like Alex though. He was a very caring guy and remembered the small things.

I did enjoy Emily Henry’s writing! It’s my first book from her and I’m going try to read Beach Read next!

This book definitely started out really slow for me, and I’m not gonna lie I had to use an audiobook to help me get into this book. I think after page 144 it started to really pick me for me and it became paced a little bit faster. After that, I didn’t really need the audiobook to help me read it and I was able to read big chunks of the book with no help.

I think that this book definitely represented what it’s like to be truly alone, but still living. Kya didn’t just stay her cabin all day and do nothing. She worked hard to make herself money to get food, and she became one with the land.

As for her love interests, screw Chase Andrews. She should have never even entertained him, that boy was a total douche. I think Tate had the best character development because he realized what he did when he was younger was wrong, and he was to admit that and make a change.

As for the ending, I felt like it was like lack luster for me. If Kya was the one that killed Chase, why was there literally one paragraph addressing it. The entire book is about this murder so it just felt like i was left hanging. I would have liked to hear what happened for kyas POV instead of Tate just sharing he found the shell necklace.

Yet again another great read by Alice Oseman! This book went into more depth about Charlie’s eating disorder and his OCD. I thought Oseman did a great job at conveying it the right way in her story. I’m really glad that Charlie was able to get help from others than just depending on Nick the entire time. I think if it would have continued that way it would have really hurt their relationship.

<spoilers>
THIS BOOK! Literally was obsessed with it by the first chapter! The way that Olive rambles and talks to herself in her head is exactly how I am. It was really cool seeing that in a fictional character. I also related to her in a lot of ways. She wasn’t very focused on relationships when she was in her undergrad and grad degrees, which is exactly how I am now (I wish I wasn’t tho).

I loved Adam. I love when I guy only is sweet to one girl and is grumpy with everyone else. I feel like he just did everything right.

Also, a big FU to Tom!! I’m glad that he got fired, and Olive will never have to work for him!!

Did I just sit in Barnes and Noble and read this book in it’s entirety? Yes, yes I did. I thought this was another cute read, but it touched on some very important subjects like self harm and eating disorders. I can’t wait until I can read the next book to see how they deal with these issues. (I would read it rn but Barnes and Noble doesn’t have a copy 😟)
