i honestly adored this sequel SO MUCH. the romance is so so good is the book. the world building is amazing. the story just keep getting better and better!! although poppy definitely asks a lot of questions (i had to continuously remind myself that we as readers want the same answers she does) and she and cas really struggle with communication a lot, overall this was such a good read. i’m not a huge fan of the miscommunication trope, but i feel like it was reasonable within this book because there is so much unknown. i LOVE poppy. she is such a badass MC and i cannot wait to finally figure out what she is and what that means for atlantia. casteel is TOO MUCH.

although i’m not totally in love with this series, i honestly just can’t stop reading it. this book bothered me a bit mostly because of america and aspen. i feel like they have absolutely no chemistry whatsoever and so i struggle to understand what holds america back from accepting maxon compared to aspen. i do understand why america is so hesitant to accept maxon in terms of his family and the crown, especially given how compassionate she is and the completely different lifestyle she would be accepting. i fell in love with maxon in this book though. he is so sweet and compassionate and i truly just think he cares so much for america in the purest way. i especially love that he stood up for himself at the end. he deserves so much better than what america is giving him.

coho has created yet another masterpiece that causes me to ugly cry. this was such a strange and curious read, but i absolutely loved the characters and the perfect reveal that allowed everything to make sense. i really enjoyed beyah and samson together, especially because their relationship is so respectful and sweet. i feel like this book had a lot of really deep moments, especially looking at our country’s judicial system and the true important of family. those moments especially made me enjoy this even more. i also truly enjoyed the side characters, especially sara and pepper jack cheese. the only reason i gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because i feel like it didn’t quite live up to the other coho books i have read. it was fast-paced, mysterious, and did have some moments of genuine depth, but i felt like the ending was sort of scattered and a bit rushed. although i wanted a quick read, i wished we could have gotten a little bit more development in some areas so it wouldn’t have felt so jam packed. overall though, another beautiful masterpiece from coho.

definitely in a serial killer binge right now, and this was SO GOOD. i am absolutely for lara’s story and cannot wait to fully understand the reasons behind her revenge. this was the absolute perfect blend of plot and romance. i love the idea of a female serial killer and lara is such an interesting character. logan and lara profiling each other when they first met was SO SEXY. this was a little bit too insta-love for me, but i still thoroughly enjoyed it. despite the covers seeming scandalous, there isn’t an overwhelming amount of smut in this; just the right amount to be entertaining. i absolutely love jake’s character and i can’t wait to see more of him and how his relationship with lara formed. and the cliffhanger at the end?? you’re kidding. i’m going to devour the rest of this series right now.

i honestly really wanted to like this book, but it just didn’t hit for me. i feel like it was really overhyped and the book itself was honestly pretty average. i found the first 50% of the book really boring and bland. the spice was good, but honestly nothing happened until like the 50% mark. i didn’t really feel like there was any tension or anything between them so it just sort of felt boring ?? also i really didn’t like rowan. i feel like he kept making the same mistakes and then just coming up with excuses for it. the ending was so abrupt but also underwhelming?? idk everything about it book just felt meh. the few things that i really enjoyed were: zahra (besides the fact that she literally laughed at everything and seemed immature sometimes, i liked that she was miss independent and didn’t need rowan), the theme park itself, ani and the representation of down syndrome individuals, and the brief representation for depression and suicide. everything else i feel like was really bland for me :/ i’ve heard the second book is better so i may eventually read that, but this one was honestly disappointing. i did enjoy the epilogue though

this was so unhinged but so so good wow. if you had told me before this book that i would find a serial killer attractive, i would have called you crazy. after this book? cole blackwell is so ridiculously hot it’s not even funny. sophie did such an impressive job with this book. the plot wasn’t like a stereotypical dark romance, and i loved how unpredictable it was. i loved how cole was obsessed with mara long before they had truly interacted with each other and how attached he got to her, despite being a psychopath. i love mara’s ferocity and confidence. her past is so deep, but i love how we got bits and pieces of it throughout this book. overall, such an unpredictable and sexy ride of a book. onto the sequel!

this was honestly such a good read. despite it being a ya novel (which i typically don’t enjoy as much) this was the perfect book that the mood reader in me had been craving. it was a nice and light read that honestly just allowed to relax and breeze through it. i honestly just want a beach house with my friends where we can have bonfires and go skinny dipping and be barefoot and be surrounded by the smell of sunscreen and salt. heaven.
the only reason i didn’t give this 5 stars was because i found belly sort of annoying at times but i had to keep reminding myself that she is literally a child still. the ending was really heartbreaking :( i’m going to read the second one and i’m praying everything turns out okay. also i’m so excited for this movie

another coho read and another 5 star rating, what’s new?

this book is honestly just pure pain. every single chapter is anguish, but through it all. beautiful story is constructed with beautiful characters and important lessons about love. the cheating is this was really off putting (obviously) but i feel like it really worked itself into a beautiful message that our heart chooses who we love and who we stay in love with. all of these characters were so unique and complex that i honestly couldn’t help but love them. the music in this was exquisite. i loved listening to the soundtrack with the chapters. what a cool experience for a book. coho never misses

this was such a quick and fun read; i read it in one sitting! i loved the steam and the cute little moments in this novella. i was definitely very curious about bridgette and warren in maybe someday and i feel like this really shined light on their relationship. because of how short this novella is, it definitely doesn’t have the same depth as the rest of coho’s books, but i absolutely loved getting a different look into these characters and i loved bridgette and warren together. can’t wait to see what maybe now has in store for these characters :)

this was a very cute slow burn romance. i feel like the first third to half of the book was a little bit slow and draggy, but the ending was so freaking cute. i felt like the concept around the marriage was a little bit ridiculous, but that’s okay. i really enjoyed jake and rose and the dual pov of this book. rose surprised me a lot because she had a good heart, but was also willing to stand up for what she believed in and put people in their place when needed. the ending to this book was too darn cute. although this seemed to be lacking in plot, i really enjoyed the relationship development.
