What a creepy read this was!

This was my first Grady book and boy was I thrilled, I've read horror books before but nothing like this!

The way the book is written is brilliant, the characters are great even though I feel like Trinity is the type of girl who would say "like duh" all the time

A children's story about a school field trio to Crater Lake. The children  find out some strange things about the place, the staff that work there and their head teacher. The kids witness them all with "bug eyes" at night time, as well as some of the children turning bug eyed too.

A gas was let off so when the children went to sleep they would turn bug eyed too, but fortunately some of them didn't go to sleep. Once you turned "bug eyed" you automatically turned into a worker, like a worker bee.

The children who were still normal try their best to stay safe but it proves difficult.

It is a nice children's book, I don't think I would read it again myself but I am going to read the second one. I would definitely recommend it to those who have children around 8 years +. I will also only probably read it again to my son when he is old enough

The second book in this amazing graphic novel series!

Making friends is hard, it can be physically and mentally exhausting. It can also be anxiety ridden, the overthinking that you go through when meeting people, talking to people or even being in the same area as new people.

This novel shows you that letting people in can make you feel better about yourself and can make you feel mentally better.

I loved this book! I hope there is a 3rd!

Nick and Charlie's are back for the third installment.

This was such a lovely read, Charlie opening up more about his past bullying experience and that he used to self harm. That was such an addition to the book to show what bullying can do to someone and I feel that it was very nicely added.

The couple start coming out to their friends as they feel ready and they want to get it over with so they aren't stressed about it.. everyone is very happy gor the pair.

It is also highlighted alot in the book about the pressures of being gay/lesbian/bisexual/trans and how you feel the lesser that you have to tell people, and how you have to come out and that you have to let people know. When in fact you don't, you shouldn't feel pressured to do anything you don't want to to. I love that the book explains this in the storyline too. Another highlighted issue is Charlie's issues with food, eating disorders are a difficult thing to deal with and can be triggered by traumatic events such as bullying.

Such a great read.

This picks up nicely from Red Dragon. Again Thomas Harris is an exceptional author. I love this storyline again and I like how he brings in Clarice Starling as she is mentioned in the end of Red Dragon. Fantastic.
