If you look through my highlights you will find that Holly Does a great job bringing the world to life.
The spicy scenes are abrupt but the chemistry between the fmc and mmc is undeniable.
The number of characters from my favorite childhood fables had me turning pages to see how they had grown into current day characters!

The story about being exiled from his pack destroyed me and also told me how the ending would go but I also never saw the connection between Jameson and Scarlett coming.

This is a book I do recommend with the understanding that there is a lot of relational whiplash between the main characters. There are a lot of wtf moments, but I still could not put it down.
I am so looking forward to reading the rest of the lost girl books to find out more about Rap

Do yourself a favor and just read it.

I hate comparing it to ACOTAR but it throws you into the action of the character development and world immediately, you are introduced to love interests immediately, the dilemma is introduced immediately and the book is so well written. I am not sure why this book isn’t more talked about or promoted!

Book Tok/Bookstageam really dropped the ball missing this book

This book has zero fantasy in my opinion. Booktok influenced this read and I was so disappointed.
If you are looking for fantasy this book is not for you.
I would classify this as more of a romance/slow burn enemies to lovers to enemies.
This is the epitome of a slow burn with romance really not picking up until about 80% through the book.

The lands are introduced and you get a feeling for the struggles of the people of each kingdom, the dynamics between the kingdoms are explained well, the writing is impeccable with me reporting no issues and finding no misspelled words, missing words or grammatical errors.

This series is action (but do NOT mistake it for fantasy) from the very beginning. It does have very predictable aspects of the plot that leave you wishing for a different twist but overall I enjoyed the read.

While I couldn’t put this down I did miss my usual fantasy aspects and I did struggle with disappointment in the mmc having no personality and realizing if I sat with this plot too long I noticed how easily the world started to fall apart.
The FMC was naive to a fault, she refused to open her eyes and evolve with knowledge which is so frustrating for me as a reading rooting for the main character’s objectives to come to fruition!

I am still going to read the 2nd book of this series to see if the series picks up speed and she develops her mmc.
I may dnf the 2nd book for the first time ever. Stay tuned.

This is NA, not YA.

I NEVER take this long to read what I consider a novella.
I DNF’d this book because it was exhausting.
Every 1-3 pages the POV changes without any plot movement.
Blythe is a reaper for God’s sake and we see next ro nothing of her powers (she better get her own book or I am rioting).
I was also frustrated by the damsel in distress act from FMC.

Judas is never truly explained until the very end, by the time I got to it I threw my kindle down and refused to read the rest.

This book felt rushed to publish without enough alpha readers to identify plot gaps and areas where the storyline and characters had HUGE opportunities to be enriched and more dynamic.

A why-choose Beauty and the Beast retell that I could NOT put down!
I devoured this book and immediately got 100pg into book two before my eyes could not physically stay open.
Rosalina’s character had a couple of things that frustrated me (she needed them to keep her safe, damsel in distress trope) BUT seeing how she evolved with her first love interest Lucas, the gross fuck boy we should all hate, gave me a lot of hope for her character development.
The princes each have a different personality that creates for fun while interacting with each other.

My favorite scene: Dayton meeting Lucas

I could NOT put this book down but I lay that blame at the feet of Taylor.
Her books bring you on a journey that you don’t want to end.
I need Mafie 3 ASAP
