What a fantastic read. My familiarity with her youtube channel compliments this book in the way of being able to hear her voice crystal clear in her writing. There was shock, there was sadness, there was laughter and there was comfort. This book illuminates various components of death that don't necessarily occur naturally in today's society. My only regret is not having read this sooner and had been aware of things before they applied to my life as I lived through the deaths of those closest to me. I will never be able to forget the important questions that confront my instinctive fears and will carry them with me wherever I go. I wish I could thank this author from the deepest parts of my being for the validation and pure love that pours out of this book.

Every single trigger warning there is...

The flow in the first half evokes a deep dread that amplifies a fear of going forward in the story. Even when the first shocking thing comes upon you, it is so quickly overshadowed by the build up of so much worse coming your way. Once you're in the thick of it, the words become liquid in a pace so fast you can't put it down. The subjects are indeed profoundly terrible but the writing pulls you further into the thralls and I personally couldn't get enough. I love this book endlessly and hope more take the plunge and experience the thrill that darkness has to offer.

Almost completely worth it

Even though this is a pretty hefty sized book, the beginning and most of the middle is so thrilling and exciting that it flew by. The second half of the book kind of drags on big portions that made me feel like I was in a goose chase. Approaching the end I became to frustrated and angry like the ending would never come at all. The ending itself almost makes up for it, but it was not the super satisfying conclusion I was searching for. There were a couple editing errors I found in the book that confused me, not knowing if it was deliberate or not. I would only re-read this book again for just the beginning and middle. That is where this book shines the most.

Emotional roller coaster

So much grief and pain and sorrow and so many very sharp knives. What an ending indeed. Fabulous. Will be following this author for sure.

Mild representation

This book does a decent job in fleshing out a near realistic scenario of a school shooting. It lacks the build up of a thriller and the descriptions of a horror story. But I appreciate this drama filled story.
