AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. šŸ˜³šŸ˜³

This was stunning. I wanted to gobble it up but paced myself and am so thankful I did that. Yarros weaves an incredible story. I smiled, I cried (sobbed, actually), I cursed Xaden and Violet multiple times. And once again, the ending had me shook. Itā€™s taking everything in me not to pull an all nighter to read the third one. šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

Only dropped it a star cause of the conflict resolution at the end.
In my opinion, Pen didnā€™t deserve an easy forgiveness. I didnā€™t like her from the get go with how she treated Lukas as an object without feelings. And so much for being Scarlettā€™s best friend. She couldnā€™t even tell Scarlett fell in love with Lukas.
I loved the dynamic between Lukas and Scarlett. Itā€™s a breath of fresh air seeing a relationship like that portrayed in a *mostly* healthy way. With communication and trust. Itā€™s also very spicy which was expected after reading the first chapter. šŸ˜‚ Ali Hazelwood knocked it out of the park with this one.

I hate to say this, but Iā€™ve realized that this author writes the most abhorrent female leads. Every book of hers that Iā€™ve read, Iā€™ve hated the MFC. To an extreme amount. And this one was no different.

Hattie is annoying, immature and so self deprecating that it hurts. She wants to act like her lifestyle is perfectly fine but when someone else brings it up she gets mad. And then she spends 90% of the book hating men and being SUPER vocal about it. Like girl, we get it. You hate men but stop making it your entire personality.

Rob was great. A womanizer who falls in love and does everything to make it better.

The whole therapy thing was a good addition but there wasnā€™t ā€œenoughā€ of it to warrant a HEA in my opinion. They were both so toxic and had so much trauma, and only a couple months of ā€œtherapyā€ made them want to have a HEA together. It didnā€™t make sense.

Everybody in this damn book is SO FUCKING IMMATURE. Iā€™m almost finished with it but good lord I donā€™t want to finish. I want to scream at everyone.

I laughed so hard through this audiobook. Nothing made sense and now I know Iā€™m not into alien romances. šŸ¤£ it wasnā€™t terribly awful, but probably not going to read any of the other books

Super quick listen (thanks Audible!) and pretty cute.

Had a hard time with the ā€œconclusionā€. It just didnā€™t seem final or believable. There also really wasnā€™t a huge build up or anything. It felt a little rushed and clumsy.

Quinn is always a hit or miss for me.

This book started out with so much promise but Fallon just annoyed the hell out of me. From always trying to be the martyr/victim (look at me, dropping everything to take care of my grandfather and his property and doing it all by myself) to whatever the hell that relationship with Peter was. I felt like she was just so immature and she really just grated on my nerves.

Sawyer was great. No notes. The only redeeming part of the book.

I absolutely loved the banter on one-liners in this book. Had me laughing out loud most of the time. I just couldnā€™t get over my weird feeling about the addition of
the mob
in the book. It just seemed out of place to me.

It felt a little cheesy at times and I got a little annoyed at Averyā€™s constant self-deprecation.
I also knew I hated Palmer from the beginning!!
