Audiobook review. I enjoyed this, although it was at least a chapter before I realized it was not a memoir. It reads like a memoir and Meryl Streep is a great narrator.

Audiobook review. This was a very sweet book and it’s nice to read about an older protagonist.

Audiobook review. This book was. It what I thought it was going to be, but I still got something out of it. Shifting your perspective and language around care tasks was valuable hear someone talk about.

Audiobook review. I liked two of these stories, but didn’t get into the others. Narration is great though.

Audiobook review. I mostly listened to this, but have the physical book, which was helpful to see the family tree. This was a beautiful narrative through generations and it seemed to touch on nearly every aspect of Black history.

Read to my kids. This is a sweet book about a spunky kindergartener who just wants people to love (and like) and notice her. Most of it holds up really well and everything else (like calling someone stupid) can be a conversation.

This book makes me want to be a classroom teacher again. There’s so many great nuggets here (mimicking, random groupings, vertical non-permanent surfaces, questions, keeping kids in flow), but the sum is far greater than these parts. It’s also so well written - clear, with FAQs for each chapter, and reflection questions along the way.

Audiobook review. I enjoyed this book, and especially so as I read it before heading into the wilderness for 5 days. This is a book about noticing and the author is skilled at writer about her noticing he and weaving them into stories of her life.

Audiobook review. This was just fun and a great satire. The narrator was also fantastic.

Audiobook review. This is an actual romance (or love story) kind of book and a bit more light than Sittenfeld usually writes. But it has the same expert prose and I loved it. I believed every second of this story.

A+ narrator too!
