actually finished a book in one day?????? i was hesitant to bring it with me cause i didn’t know if i was actually gonna like it cause i dnfed it like two months ago. i’m glad i ended it bringing it with me…i don’t think i would’ve been able to get through this 6 hr flight without something easy to read like that.

overall the book itself wasn’t bad and i kinda guessed the plot twist in the very beginning but a good read.

“it wasn’t a yes, but it wasn’t a no, either and for now it felt like enough. uncertainty could be a kind of hope”

beautiful (some parts were a little confusing with pacing but other than that a beautiful novel). i wish we would’ve gotten the perspective of the son at the end but the letters were a very unique way of showing jacob’s regret and telling his life
