I had a few issues with this book. I really don’t get the need to know what song is playing all the time, I don’t know the songs and I definitely will not be looking them up as I read a scene. I also don’t understand why he had to drug her so many times. I get a few of them were “necessary” like when he went to get her after running away.

What ever happened to her best friend? Why did her real mom come back for two scenes? Why was Matt’s death so rushed… there was this huge build up of what they were gunna do to him and then her real mom comes out and just takes over? Wtf.

I feel like the amount of sex they have in this book is insane. It’s like every other page they’re fucking each other. The ending seemed really rushed too like “oh we have kids they’re about to graduate one wants to be a Lord. The end.”

I enjoyed some parts of it really. I just feel like for so much of the story to be focused around Ryan and Matt’s feud there would have been a bigger scenes during the confessional. Her real mom being revealed was an interesting plot twist but really seemed random and unnecessary.

I really enjoyed this book… why is it a trilogy? No clue. I started the second book after the cliff hanger got about 20% into it and decided that was a good ending point of their story. I was really hooked on the slow burn and secret relationship but it just kept going. The cliff hanger was dramatic but really seemed unnecessary.

I am sure that Issac/Craig/Monty have some role in the next two books but I seriously don’t care to find out. This girl had her nudes and sex tape used against her by people for such weird reasons. The whole Month situation was weird. Why did she keep saying he was gay and then it was never cleared up or expanded on. He just went straight into blackmail?

4.5 ⭐️I loved this book but there were a few “storylines” i think kinda just fell off. The championship and the hockey side of things in general weren’t really gone into detail about. The class they had together. The “fake girlfriend” scene when he was late to pick her up he never really explained what was going on and I wish he would have.

I loved the scavenger hunt in the end when they got engaged I wish there was more of that through the book and not just that one scene at the end. I did find it strange that he fell first and super hard and wasn’t the one to do an elaborate proposal though. Still cute nonetheless.

Honestly I don’t think I have enjoyed a book more than this. Seriously. I was so into it. I don’t think there was a moment where I was not on the edge of my seat needing to read more of it. I can’t explain it but holy shit it was a good book.

I loved this book honestly. I get why people wouldn’t like it because it’s somewhat taboo but I thought it was a good book.

I love a man who grovels honestly. This man really took it to the extreme and didn’t back down.

4.5 ⭐️ Holy shit this man is hot. I was kinda scared to read this book because everyone talked about how morally black it was but really I have read some twisted before so I had no reason to be scared of it. I was expecting some really kinky stuff to happen but it really didn’t.

I love that he didn’t back down from her throughout the whole book and was so possessive over her.

I did feel like the friends storyline really fell off. They were a big part of her life at the beginning but then we didn’t see her with them as much. Like they never showed their side about the whole Devlin thing. When she was attacked they didn’t come by. That was a little strange to me honestly.

Overall I loved this book though.

I enjoyed the book but there were a few things that just bothered me about how it was written. I liked that there was no third act break up that got resolved after 5 pages but i do wish there was more drama to keep it interesting.

I really didn’t like how much the time jumped throughout the book. They would be talking about something that’s coming up then the next paragraph starts with a single sentence saying how it went. I feel like there could have been more in depth experiences that were just brushed over instead.

Then when he didn’t propose and she hears that he called her his fiancé that’s how it ends? we didn’t get to see the interaction of her hearing him ask or getting a ring or anything… I didn’t love that. I wish the epilogue was after they were married or at least further into the relationship.

Also she never was introduced to his mom and brother in the book until that last scene. That’s was strange to me since he met her family.

I really liked this book. I did have issues with how it was written with the paragraphs that were like a whole page long. I feel like they should have been broken up more. I also think it was super obvious who the stalker was after they ran into each other at the luncheon. And like why would she not tell her dad… I really didn’t get that. I understand being scared because he had pull in the city but like… her dad also had pull did he not?

I loved the relationship they had but really wish she would have told him about being pregnant alone before announcing it to the world like she did.
