***Probably missing a few warnings...but the beginning of the book had warnings in it so read that before starting the book***

Overall I really enjoyed this story...though I do with the epilogue didn't feel so rushed...I love learning about multiple romantic dynamics but I would have liked the story to feel more balanced. Either this book should have only focused on one why choose [which it mainly did] and it should have been turned into a trilogy where we had a book to explore the poly relationship as well as the other why choose...instead of rushing at the end to show/tell us how the other two dynamics were formed.

The first part of this book has me excitedly devouring it...sadly the middle was a lot of the same which had me forcing my way through a lot of it...then the last part threw so many things at me I was excited but also a bit overwhelmed 🤷🏽‍♀️

Looking forward to reading the next book and hoping that the pacing is better.

Wow...this book takes you for a ride!

It's giving "The Invitation" mixed with "Ready or Not"...and more that I'm forgetting at the time 😅

I didn't really know what I was getting into when starting this book...but am I glad I did!

We get a dark romance set mostly in an old Victorian house in a small town...where the whole town seems to have something negative to say about the family that lives in said house.

I love how from the start I was wanting Nadine to give into the flirty Cal and just see what he's all about...but of course when she finally decides to I'm screaming "ABORT! RUN IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY!" 🤣🤣🤣

Ngl I didn't even pay attention to the description of Cal because all I could think about was Thomas Doherty [The Invitation]

This was another book though where I think the leading lady should have forced some groveling from the leading man...knocked him down a few pegs for the treatment he put her through by him...😮‍💨

Any who...if you're looking for a dark romance with a thriller/mystery/horror film vibe I highly recommend diving into Raise the Blood!

OMG so much YES! I knew when I first read the summary of this book it was one that I was going to want to read...then when I found out Rebecca was giving out ARCs...I JUMPED right over to that link and applied right away.

This book gives us a brooding man with the weight of his race on his shoulders and a Princess who's own inaction weighs heavily on her.

The beginning of this book gives MAJOR 7 Brides for 7 Brothers vibes...which I LOVE! I seriously cannot wait to meet the other couples and see how the dragons woo their human women. 🥰

This was a fun read! Definitely felt more fluffy, for a stalker romance, than I'm used to but I loved it ^^

***I received an ARC of this book, through Netgalley, ahead of release***

Do you ever finish a book and instantly want to cry and smack some people right across the face? 😅 Those are the emotions the ending gave me.

This is not the Disney Mulan we grew up with...in some ways it was a million times better...and in others I wish it was more Disney 🥹

Phenomenal book that I'm happy I pre-ordered so I can reread when it's released.

I loved getting to know Mercedes and Raul more. Although I didn't guess the why of it I definitely knew who the stalker was from the start so it felt a bit frustrating waiting for them to realize it 😅 I also felt like the ending was a little rushed, I think we could have spent a little more time there instead of jumping to the epilogue.

Overall a fun read and I look forward to diving into book 3.

I really feel like this should have been squished from 4 books into a duology...that was part of a bigger overarching series...the way everything went in book 4 felt pretty anti-climactic and tied up quickly...🤷🏽‍♀️
