Review: Welcome back to Purgatory Falls…beware this is not the warm cuddly welcome you’re expecting! Dakota and Grant were a blazing fire that left ashes of destruction in the wake of a blistering romance and YEARS of pent up tension in perfect Maggie Rwadon fashion! 𝔇𝔞𝔯𝔨 ℌ𝔬𝔯𝔰𝔢 had been an anticipated read for me since Maggie announced it and to say it exceeded expectations is an understatement! From the first word I knew the two of them were going to wring my heart dry since from the get go we learn pieces of the sordid past between Grant, Dakota and Jesse - Dakota’s late older brother. The mystery and suspense surrounding the events that led to Jesse’s demise were a hidden cornerstone of this book and Maggie was able to blend the intrigue wonderfully while also developing the feelings and forbidden romance between Dakota and Grant! 

 

𝔇𝔞𝔯𝔨 ℌ𝔬𝔯𝔰𝔢 is an interconnected stand alone that builds on some plot from book one but can be read by itself. The underlying plot to me though was one of the BEST and favorite parts of Dakota and Grant’s romance. Seeing the way these two go from HATE to lust to adoration and finally OBSESSIVE love was 100% fitting for who they each were to one another. Grant “The Devil” Stockton was tall, dark, handsome and full of every red flag your mother’s warn you away from. Seeing this broody hero fall HARD on his KNEES for Dakota left me giggling and swooning but also had me anxious for what Maggie would throw at them before they could get their deserved HEA. 

 

𝔇𝔞𝔯𝔨 ℌ𝔬𝔯𝔰𝔢 took the underlying plot challenges that she left open in Ramsey’s book and left us waiting for more answers while accepting the few tied ends she gave us. I was happy that the ones surrounding Grant were resolved since that man truly deserved to finally have a modicum of peace in his life but also wish that book 3 was already here! 𝔇𝔞𝔯𝔨 ℌ𝔬𝔯𝔰𝔢 was a dark Western romance that enthralled me from page one but left me with more questions than answers by then end! Seeing Charolette and her men again also left me in anticipation of their full book (hopefully) coming soon and I cannot wait to get some more answers surround that fiery group off Maggie’s too! 

 

Rating: 100+; 𝔇𝔞𝔯𝔨 ℌ𝔬𝔯𝔰𝔢 made me want to save a horse and find a cowboy, Maggie once again brought the heat in this one and nothing prepared me for the FIRE Dakota and Grant doused the pages in!

Review: Kelly Finley lit me on FIRE!  𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐡 has been the HAWTEST book I have read this year and I could not believe how much this book had me giggling and sweating  at once! Nash Allen is your next ‘yes, sir’ romance and he blew me away with the unfiltered LUST he had for Vale Monroe. Kelly balanced the forbidden and the taboo wonderfully in this book and left me wishing for more after finishing! 

 

 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐡 is this first in her new Belles and Bratva Beasts series and what a zinger it was. This book needs a warning label to ‘not be read in public places’ so you can best enjoy it. Nash and Vale had me swearing for the best reasons and rooting for them to have that deserved HEA. What did me in thought was the absolute obsessive devotion Nash had for Vale…and HOW obvious it was to EVERYONE! 

 

Nash Allen brought the heat and the dirty talk from the beginning and I am not sad about it. The things this man said just had me feel in such a way that I wanted to be inserted as Kelly’s next FMC. I found the premise of ex-mafia MMCs as the leaders of a new secret society to be very intriguing and I loved delving into a new underworld universe in  𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐡!  𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐡 was a fast paced 5 chili pepper read for me that had me excited for the next books to come! 

 

Rating: 4.5/5; 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐡 had me sweating bullets from the blistering heat and dirty talk between Vale & Nash!

Review: 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔽𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕕 𝕊𝕚𝕥𝕦𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 was long awaited but oh so worth it! Lyra Parish tickled me pink with the banter, tension and inside jokes between Carlee Jolly and Weston Calloway! Carlee and Weston were what I consider bestie goals and I never would have guessed at how close these two actually were! From page one their bond and friendship outshone any of the friendships we had seen from Lyra in the past and it only left me wondering - HOW COULD NO-ONE ELSE SEE?? The camaraderie and the ease of comfort between them had me biting my nails for with Weston’s twin Easton would put the pieces together and call them out on their growing feelings and I absolutely loved how Lyra played that “twintuition’ up in this book (especially about Weston falling hard for Carlee!!) 

 

Carlee Jolly was a fresh face and I was shocked with her last name was revealed! I did not see the overlap coming from one of Lyra’s other series but it was great to see characters cameo from other series of Lyra’s! The way the Jolly’s tried to intimidate Weston but then also readily jumped on his bandwagon was the perfect cherry on the sundae since both Carlee and Weston really just needed people in their corner to get them past their last hurdle in the relationship. I also appreciated how Lyra was able to take time and explore why each of them had trauma and fear of falling in love again. To me, seeing the way Weston overcame his fear and hurt from his last marriage was 100% the best part of this story, not to mention the twist Lyra gave us in regards to his ex-wife! 

 

𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔽𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕕 𝕊𝕚𝕥𝕦𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 ws the perfect segue romance into book three which is already heating up in my mind as the TRUEST enemies to lovers romance written by Lyra and I cannot wait! Carlee and Weston were everything I wanted and more and it is sad to see 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔽𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕕 𝕊𝕚𝕥𝕦𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 come to a close…but I cannot wait for what’s in store! 

 

Rating: 100+; Carlee and Weston might be my favorite Lyra Parish couple yet and 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔽𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕕 𝕊𝕚𝕥𝕦𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 absolutely enthralled my heart every page!

Review: 𝕊𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕖𝕣𝕖𝕝𝕪, 𝕐𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝔼𝕟𝕖𝕞𝕪..talk about some edging, some angst, so HATE and some absolute found family vibes with this one! Eliah took her time with Lacey and TJ’s book and IT PAID OFF! All the hype and excitement I had while waiting for their story was worth it and I am only sad that it has come to and end. Lacey Mattson was such an amazing FMC and Eliah could not have picked anyone better to be paired with TJ. They banter that these two had left me in stitches one minute then biting my nails the next because I could never predict what the other would say!

This is a player x tutor romance but there is so so much more to this book than just a typical tutor and jock romance. Eliah was able to craft a unique twist on the trope by one making them despise each other, two have both of them be guardians of their younger siblings and finally by throwing in the spicy flirting lessons! There was just so many good things in this book that made it hard to put down and I am excited to continue the Silver Swings series to see what couple happens next!

𝕊𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕖𝕣𝕖𝕝𝕪, 𝕐𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝔼𝕟𝕖𝕞𝕪 is one of my best books of the read and it is highly recommended fly me or anyone who loves a good enemies to lovers romance! Lacey and TJ are both the most unexpected couple yet the couple you could always see coming. They are only made better by all the amazing side characters that Eliah creates!

Rating: 100+; Can I volunteer to tutor TJ? Like seriously this man was 100% down for the count and I need more!

Fractured Future - Anaconda Tales 1 - Review

I absolutely devoured this book. I loved Ember's story so far and J. Rose really knew how to keep suspense but also blend it with slow burn romance. Each of the men fit so well and I am curious how they will begin to mesh and become one unit. I found the mystery between Ember and the unknown MMC to be where I was most interested and I am looking forward to getting more of him in book 2!

Review: 𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓁𝑒𝓃 𝒱𝑜𝓌𝓈 was a swoon worthy, large family, small town romance that had you longing for that slow burn feel. Francesca and Graham had such a beautiful slow burn that I felt like I was witnessing how they fell in love. The way Penelope was able to create their story in a way that transcended times of struggle in their lives had me hanging on and waiting for them to get their HEA. Francesca really captured my attention with how her quiet strength persevered throughout her whole story and I adored how she overcame her family to achieve her dreams and HEA. 

 

𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓁𝑒𝓃 𝒱𝑜𝓌𝓈 takes us back to Avalon Falls and I was so happy to continue seeing this small town Penelope has created in this series. Seeing every character and side story added layers to this story in so many wonderful ways. I also found that Penelope was able to create the best found family in 𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓁𝑒𝓃 𝒱𝑜𝓌𝓈 with just enough suspense surrounding Francesca’s past. 𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓁𝑒𝓃 𝒱𝑜𝓌𝓈 was a great read and perfect for continuation within the Avalon Falls world! 

 

Rating: 4/5; 𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓁𝑒𝓃 𝒱𝑜𝓌𝓈 is a beautiful romance where fate intervenes for two people who find each other over and over until they get the deserved HEA!

Review: Adriana Locke did it again with her latest book - 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝕖𝕣𝕘𝕖𝕣! This book was electric, intense and full of the fiery hate-to-love you chemistry we love from her and I was not ready to say bye to Gannon and Carys. This book was one of my favorite tropes - brother’s best friend - and she did this one perfectly. From the beginning the sparks are obvious between them but Carys’ Brest friend is so oblivious but also so against her and his brother that his blinders hide what is obvious to use all! 

 

𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝕖𝕣𝕘𝕖𝕣 had me going from yanking at my hair trying to push these two together to giggling like a kid when they finally give in. Adrian was really able to show us how well Gannon and Carys just fit together and I enjoyed the ups, downs and surprises she threw at us while these two find their HEA. 

 

Gannon Brewer may be my favorite Brewer yet especially with his reluctance and disregard to “feel”. Every time this man opened his mouth I was anxious for what he would say and 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝕖𝕣𝕘𝕖𝕣 really left me satisfied with finally getting the older Brewer’s book! 

 

Rating: 4/5; 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝕖𝕣𝕘𝕖𝕣 was a electric, fast-paced opposites attract romance that left me awaiting the next Brewer brother to fall!

Review: It’s been no secret that I have been anxiously awaiting Archer Holland’s book since we met him way back in the Campus Wallflower series and to say Rebecca brought her A game and then some in 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔 would be an understatement! Archer Holland devastated my heart in the best ways. His story was one of unequivocal acceptance, love and finding family in the least likely circumstances. I adored how Rebecca brought his story to life and appreciated how cognizant she was in writing a story where the MMC was not only deaf but also a professional athlete. 

 

Archer and Sabrina were two magnets that had to learn how to accept the pull between them and what better way to force the forbidden ‘brother’s best friend’ and ‘best friend’s sister’ trope then to have them become unwilling roommates. The tension this added to the book had me unable to put this book down but also had me swooning over ALL the SMALL THINGS Archer does for Sabrina while slowly accepting her into his circle. Archer Holland truly was THE book boyfriend so far in this series but I have a suspicion that Flynn is going to blow my mind as well. 

 

Sabrina Whitlock was a layered MFC who surprised me at every turn. I quickly came to love her and was excited to see her grow close to Archer. Her 100% acceptance and willingness to sign and speak in ways that allowed him to understand her captured my heart and there were so many moments in this book where her readiness to support Archer and bring him above his disability just unmoored me. Rebecca truly did phenomenal with the way she tackled this part of Archer and Sabrina’s relationship. 

 

𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔 was everything I expected it to be and more and I wish we were getting more of this couple! Sabrina and Archer are a tough act to follow but I am excited to see baby Holland get his time in the light and can’t wait to see the snippets of each Holland brother in Flynn’s story coming up next! Hats off to you Rebecca for capturing one of the my favorite romance reads in a while! 

 

Rating: 100+; 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔 was a binge worthy read and Archer Holland was worth the wait and MORE!

Review: 𝖀𝖓𝖙𝖆𝖒𝖊𝖉 brought a twist to mafia romance and Jane Henry captured my attention from the blurb alone. This book was completely unexpected but is now one of my favorite mafia reads to date. Rodion is your typical mafia man but also so unorthodox and unique that he stands out in a crowd for this trope. The romance between him and Ember - a budding book influencer - had me giggling so hard because the whole time I was just like - ‘right, is this what these people think when we post about these mafia books?’. 𝖀𝖓𝖙𝖆𝖒𝖊𝖉 was a fast paced and intense romance that balanced on the edge of dark but also had a ton of lighter areas that made you fall hard for Rodion and his charms. 

 

What had me hooked the most though was Ember’s passion for books and the banter she shared with Rodion before she knew who he was. The concept of secretly messaging a maffisos was intriguing and Jane was able to balance the thread of believable and not really well. 𝖀𝖓𝖙𝖆𝖒𝖊𝖉 was a angsty, hot romance filled with innuendo, possessive alphoale attitude and a quirky yet fiery heroine that has me excited for more!

Review: So Right was the best ending to a angsty romance filled with love, loss and heartache. Abby was able to capture all the best parts of HUnter’s story in this final book and also gave us the best HEA we could ever want for this fierce and fiery FMC. HUnter’s story in this book absolutely broke my heart but seeing the way she refused to fall was 100% what I saw in her back when we first met her in her BFF’s Josephine’s story. I adored the way Abby brought the OG cohort back in this book and wish we did not have to say goodbye. 

 

Hunter is really put through the emotional wringer in this book and I found myself wishing she could just find her peace. The way her men band around her to support her was absolutely everything for this final book in this series and I enjoyed seeing each of her men get their version of an HEA as well. Greedy and Levi really matured in this book and while Greedy was still the possessive alpha male we expect, it was great seeing him soften to Levi eat times. However, Kabir and Sionne were truly who I adored in this story and I will only say… 

 

Kabir & Stats Daddy…I could not get enough of this unexpected friendship! So Right was a wonderful ending to a high intensity romance and I can’t wait to see what Abby does next! 

 

Rating: 4/5, So Right was a bittersweet ending to a wonderful romance full of love, shocks and best girls friends for life!
