Wow, the audiobook drew me into the story straight away. All the narrators played their roles very good. Except for the voice of Katelynn - the voice was too raspy, whiny and didn't really suit for me personally.

The first 30% were super exciting but then it drifted off too much and was just too over the top for me^^ but I can still imagine listening to the second part.

A short but strong and emotional story that will stay in my head for a very long time.

The cover looks amazing and the story captivated me immediately.

For me personally, it wasn't horror and not really creepy either, but the story still has a bad vibe to it. (Which I love) I'd love to read more of it!

I found the story really exciting at the beginning. It was easy to get into the story and the characters were very interesting too. I loved the dynamic between Gwynn and the detective.

But at some point her murders became too ridiculous and too "unrealistic" for me and for the story... you're waiting the whole time... but yeah... for what? For her next victim? The murders also happened too "quickly" for me. I needed a little more to it.

A nice and exciting thriller that I really enjoyed reading and couldn't put down. However, it didn't really catch me, it was way too over the top and won't stay in my head for very long.

Unfortunately the book starts with a lot of characters that really confused me – I personally don't like it when so many characters are involved or names just appear in the story.

I love the writing style and also the short chapters. I could hardly put the book down.

The story itself was interesting, but it didn't catch me as much as her other books.
A solid thriller that I would still recommend.

I have to say that I really liked the protagonist and I LOVED her humor. The whole writing style was really good and reminded me a bit of "Yellow Face".

For me, the whole story wasn't a big page-turner because you could soon guess which direction it was going in. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun reading the story - especially because of the protagonist.

However, there was something at the end that I found really unfortunate... if the book had been written 20 years ago, OK, but NOW? Really unfortunate and that's why I have to take a star off (I don't want to give any spoilers here but maybe the women know what I mean)

It was a solid thriller that you can easily read in between. But unfortunately that's all... the story won't stay in my head for very long.

Wow, the cover is just amazing and the blurb sounded very promising!

The story starts off a bit slower, but it quickly picks up speed. But I found the story to be a bit too long.

The characters were very well developed. I really liked Em and I would have loved to jump through the book and explore the property with her at night (especially the barn).

I just wish that someone or  at least her husband had believed her more. Aren't we all tired with women being branded as totally untrustworthy?

Good ending. Good book.
Would definitely recommend it!

I've never read a zombie/horror story before and I have to say, I really liked this one.

The humor was just right and the characters were well developed. I also found the basic story really interesting and I've never read anything like it before - but the story was a bit long, which bothered me a bit.

I also think it's great and "refreshing" to read something about Haitian culture!

The twists were okay, but unfortunately the book won't stick in my head. Nevertheless, it was an interesting and unique YA thriller/horror.
