it was so frustrating to see how the pigs basically gaslit the rest of the animals and how they managed to break every single one of their seven commandments.

something that really stuck with me was that it didn’t matter what the pigs did because they always got away with it. even near the end when they stood up on two legs, it all went away by the sheep saying, “four legs good, two legs better”.

i will be thinking about the “all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others” quote for days on end.

omfg. i really love this book. it’s so interesting to see how it all unfolds, even when you are told what will happen at the beginning. and while the plot is fucking amazing and incredibly well developed, i personally find that the way in which donna tartt writes is what makes this book so grand and what keeps you wanting to read more.
