Sooooo....this was a bit like reading Sleepless In Seattle in book form. Which is fine, but the leads don't actually meet or connect until the final chapter. This is much more fun to watch on a screen in film form, but in book form it seems too long and drawn out. Yes, their back stories and repeated almost meetings are interesting and fun, but I was longing for more of the two of them together. It feels like a romance and yet kind of not. They never even communicate over email or text, like other similar romances.

The premise is super sweet. Daniel keeps spotting Nadia in his neighborhood and on the Tube. He can't get up the nerve to approach her since it seems creepy. So, instead, he puts an ad in the Missed Connections section of the newspaper, hoping she will see it. She does and the rest of the story is their attempts to connect with each other while never knowing the other's full name or personal details.

Daniel is the ultimate good-guy hero. Nothing grossly Alpha about him. He is sweet and caring (if a little too shy for my liking). While Nadia is a funny and completely relatable female lead who you absolutely adore as the book goes on.

In the end it was just too little CONNECTION for me. We know who they are so well by book's end, but we don't know who they are TOGETHER. The book is well written and engaging, but ultimately fell short on the romance for me.

Well, HOT. DAMN.
Talk about panty-incinerator.
This. Book. Is. Hot.

Bishop is a grumpy hockey player who is hotter than hot, funny, and seriously sexy. Stevie is sarcastic, strong, and smart. I loved her totally badass vibe. This book has two of my favorite tropes: Enemies to Lovers and Slow Burn and it does them so well that you'll be hooked!

This book is definitely rated NC-17 because when these two finally give in the results are gloriously dirty.

This book has a good story, a smart heroine, and plenty on steam. You can't go wrong!

3.5 STARS

There were a lot of things to love about this story! The female lead is amazing, having played softball her entire life, winning an Olympic medal, and then getting a job as the MLB's first female coach. I loved this aspect of her story and the very real struggles she faced as a woman in a man's world. Her family dynamic was interesting and I liked that it actually played an important role in her feelings about her career and what she can compromise for love.

When her boyfriend, a MLB Catcher, gets traded to her team she faces a problem since dating within the team is off limits, even though their relationship existed before the trade. This story is so well written because you can see why she can't choose love, even as you are DYING for her to choose love. These are complex decisions that are not easy!

The reason it only got 3.5 stars from me is that actual meat of this story was fairly repetitive. It's a lot of the same scenario running over and over again, until there is finally a hitch. The resolution is also so obvious that you see it coming long before it does. These are not deal-breakers, but this book didn't quite do it for me like the others in the series.

These two have seriously hot, NC-17 rated, steamy scenes! So prepare for your Kindle to burst into flames. You've been warned...in the best way possible.

Well, MEEEEE-YOWWWW! Was this book ever HOT. Bless Amy Daws and her filthy mind!

First of all, DEAN. Why have I waited this long for a leading man who wears glasses?!! Every time he yanked his glasses off of his face to get busy my panties incinerated. It was a little hard for me to completely be sold on Dean at the beginning because he seemed a bit like a man-child, but by the middle of the book I was all in...That's what HE said.

And I adored Norah with her sweaty upper lip and her neurotic list making. She was perfectly funny, sweet, and badass! I loved have a leading lady who is not sure she wants marriage and kids. It's so refreshing!!

Now to the most important part. These two were on fire! The flirting and sexual chemistry was off the charts. And the sex scenes in this book were insane. I'm still overheated from the hot kitchen counter sex scene!

This book was hilarious, steamy, sweet, sexy as hell, and fun!

Recently, one of my friends on IG asked for Cowboy Romance recommendations. I don't read a lot of Cowboy romance, but I remembered the plot of a really good one that I remember reading and loving. After much searching through my Kindle archives I finally FOUND IT!!!

TEMPTING THE DEPUTY is well written, has great characters, and is FREAKING HOT.

Logan is the Deputy in a small Montana town and he catches Charlotte (Charlie) out at dusk taking photos in the canyon off the Highway. When he goes to investigate, these two get into a verbal argument so epic that he ends up cuffing her to force her out of the dangerous landscape. Their banter is AWESOME.

After a drive to the station they part ways, but run into each other again later at the local bar where Charlie suggests a way to help the town raise funds for a charity. A hunk calendar which she will photograph.

This book has hilarious scenes where the tough guys get their chests waxed for their photos and a very hot waxing scene between Logan and Charlie. Who knew hair removal could be so sexy?

This is a great start to a great series, filled with crazy-hot cowboys and first responders, nude calendar pictures, and sweet and swoony love stories!

I've read all of the books in the Benson Security series and this is now one of my favorites. We've seen glimpses of the seemingly cold and very wealthy Rachel in the previous books. I was always interested in what her story would be. Why was she sold cold and demanding and why she didn't quite seem to fit in with the others at Benson Security.

This book far surpassed my expectations! Rachel manages to retain her aloofness and no apologies crabbiness, while the author makes her also relatable and likable. The true skill here is that the author doesn't ever pander to the reader by changing or softening Rachel. Accepting her b**chiness and demanding attitude is such a sweet part of Rachel's personal story AND her romance.

Harvard is just such a swoony hero. His patience, acceptance, humor, and intellect make him the perfect counterpoint to Rachel and create a meaningful love story that is absolutely filled with steamy heat.

As always, the rest of the perfectly flawed and insanely likable Benson Team is there for friendship, support, and some laughs. I love these various characters and their functional dysfunction! This is a great read on its own and a wonderful addition to this series!

When I read the most recent book in the Pennyverse by Karla Sorensen and absolutely LOVED it I decided it was time to check out her other books. Damn, am I glad I did.

FOCUSED is everything you want in a contemporary sports romance. It's funny, sexy, smart, and has a grumpy male lead.

Molly and Noah grew up next door to each other and Molly's 16 year old heart crushed on him hard. Now, ten years later, they are thrown together on a project for the Pro Football team he plays for. These two hate each other and I love their snarky banter and the time she freaking schooled him on football knowledge. Pure awesome.

And the heat between these two is palpable. Which culminates in some epically steamy scenes that threatened to short circuit my iPhone.

I love this book and can't wait to read the next in this series!

Damn, I love this series and I think this book is my favorite so far.

The heat between Liam and Savannah is only bolstered by their sweetness. These characters are so wonderful and complex and real.

I freaking love Enemies to Lovers romances. The sparks, the cutting remarks, the repressed heat. Running with a Sweet Talker has all of those things, but so much more.

I recently re-read this book because it is so incredibly good that it deserves valuable space in my reading time. Luann runs from her own wedding before the I-Do's are said and her only option for a getaway is her sworn enemy, Jack. They hop into his car and start on a journey that leads them to past secrets, found family, self discovery, and love. Along the way there are plenty of laughs and swoony sighs and hot scenes. I freaking LOVE this book, y'all!

Like the other books in this series, Jami Albright goes well beyond the standard tropes and delivers a story that feels like a breath of fresh air and gives you all the feels. Her writing is stellar, her characters funny and flawed, and her stories are equal parts sweet and sexy.

Luann is a smart, feisty, female lead who is no pushover. I love her wit and her passion. Jack is so very sweet under his protective layers of charm. These characters fight their own demons, both separately and together, in a perfect blend of heart and heat.
