Ehh 2.5-3. This was disappointing. It was fine but that’s it. I wasn’t even invested in the main relationship and it’s a romance.
2.5 stars. I can’t get behind a grown man who orders milk at a restaurant. Or just drinks that much milk in general. The best parts were Violet and Stevie as side characters.
3.5-4. Definitely YA but more advanced YA. I read this slowly at first but couldn’t put it down by the end. This is a super unique beauty and the beast retelling and I can’t wait for the next two books to arrive so I can finish this series.
3.5. Definitely gets away from the beauty and the beast retelling of book one. Loved more insight into Grey. It’s YA in the sense that it’s an easy read and not extremely complex and there aren’t really any adult themes. The characters don’t act immature but it just feels YA. It was a fun fantasy story and I’m definitely going to read the last book.
I didn’t love the direction she went with Rhen but after reading the last chapter I understand why. But ugh the miscommunication/secrets is going to drive me nuts.
I enjoyed it but it was slightly slow to start. I wouldn’t say it was amazing but I enjoyed it enough.

This is a great YA series. I definitely would have loved it when I was younger. It has great character development and story. I am a fan of the authors writing and was invested the whole time.
DNF’d 100 pages in. Was just not into it and the world building felt overly complex and I literally had no idea what was going on a majority of the time.
3.5-4
This author does an amazing job of writing characters and situations that although have their issues, never come off as toxic. I will definitely continue to read all of her stuff.
This was super unique, well written, and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t fly through it in a day like i do when I typically love a book and can’t put it down. However, I think that’s me in more of a reading slump than it was this book. It was sweet, spicy at times but not in an excessive, takes away from the plot” kind of way, which is always appreciated.
I wouldn’t say it’s one of my favorite books but I’d totally read it again and over all enjoyed it
