The writing was beautiful, but omg- I was waiting for something, anything to happen.

While I really enjoyed the main themes in this book, I thought that the final 25% and the resolution left me with unanswered questions and cliche tropes that I saw coming from a mile away. I wanted more of the world to have been explained- more of a WHY not just a “this is how it is, so believe it!” It was a fun read, but not much else.
This book was a cute romcom that followed two high school students who are sworn enemies, who end up having to road trip across the east coast to get to June’s sisters wedding. June’s sister is marrying Carlisle, the cousin of June’s sworn enemy, Jasper.
This was a cutesy story. The characters were fun, and the story was light. If I had read this in high school it would have most likely been a favorite! At this stage, it did feel young, and some of the situations that arise throughout the story are cliche, which was purposeful- but at times fell a flat.
Overall, a fun story, I’m glad to have read it!
