Bad decisions happen when the sun goes down.

I can confirm that when you’re young that is true. This certainly was a cute YA Summer read. At first I wished it had a little more depth and I realized for the age range it’s intended for it did. I’m past that phase in my life but I can go back to my teenage years and feel the feels I would have then reading this book.

Eggs in a midlife plot twist, are my love language.

When the very beginning of the book has an egg reference and eggs mentioned throughout the book you know it’s an automatic 5 star read from me! But in all seriousness, this was by far my favorite read from Annabel. All of the books I’ve read from her have been cute summer and this one was no exception. And also reminded me while I miss my sweet baby boy Teddy, I’m looking forward to the little fur angel he’s going to send our way.

Life’s going to do, what life’s going to do Alice. You might as well have a dog.

An adorable ya summer read. It kind of gave off at the start dirty dancing vibes with a twist. Which you can never go wrong there. Also the camp setting, makes for a fun summer read! I’m not sure why it took me so long to get around to reading this, I’ve seen this book cover catch my eyes for years now. Honestly Kasie West is a quintessential ya author. All of her books are full of charm!

I feel like this was longer than it actually needed to be, but overall a fun summer read. I’ve never been to this island before but have heard good things and now I want to visit.

This book had a lot of twists and turns, I was only half expecting. I appreciate that it wasn’t all just fluff and that there was some substance to the book. Nate weirdly reminded me of a guy I was seeing in collage and I get why she liked being around him, I think at that age we’re all wanting that at some point. I liked the side mystery on the side and am curious if readers of her other series liked that or not. Overall it’s certainly a good summer time read!

It’s my favorite bestie duo, would you expect anything less? I really would love to be a fly on their wall during their writing process. But back to the book - it was so good! I laughed out loud many times. Anna is quirky and adorable and I loved her from the very first page. I love that she’s authentically her and will not conform to anyone’s standards. In a lot of ways she reminds me of me. Anna was perfect for Liam because he was able to bloom because of her. His family is wild, would have loved to see more growth in the end from his siblings, I mean you got a small glimpse but money will do that too you. This was a perfect summer read!

“Why are you settling for crumbs when you deserve the whole damn cake?”

Considering I devoured this book in a day is reason enough to give it 5 stars. The way Caleb asks Layla to verbalize what she needs and wants is honestly how I wish every male character was written in books. The respect, trust and love. I mean I swoon.

I hope this wasn’t the end of the Lovelight Farms series because I need more. I’m not ready for it to be over so hopefully will get more Stella, Beckett, Layla moments soon.

“ It’s OK if it takes you some time to find it again. And it’s OK if you find it, just to lose a bit of it here and there. That’s the beauty of it, yeah? It comes and goes. Not every day is a happy one, and it shouldn’t be. It’s in the trying, I think.”

One of the things I’m going to start asking loved ones is if they found their happy today. I think it’s an important reminder to even just check in and ask yourself.

No surprise, this was a cute read. Also Beckett and his social anxiety and feeling overwhelmed in loud spaces is very relatable and it was nice to see that explored in a book. Just like Beckett, I have my person who centers me and makes it easier in those moments. Also Beckett basically being an animal whisper is also the cutest.

Also does a town exist like this in real life? Because if so, I’d like to move there. I can be the bookshop owner!

This book is not my normal cup of tea, but I did love the Big Bang Theory - Sheldon Cooper vibes. Like everyone is capable of having love in their life. However I find it really strange that no one question in his life that he was on the spectrum. Like as brilliant as he was and the people around him, how did no one say anything? Also who Rosie’s father was in the end, I still don’t fully understand why it was such a big secret. So strange. Also I’m pretty sure Don had a drinking problem, then again I don’t drink so maybe it’s just a lot to me.

As a little girl I would have loved this book. The illustrations are absolutely stunning. Such an adorable read!
