The stories of both Bree and Archer instantly make these two characters so lovable, and I wanted to protect them at all costs. The side characters that we meet in this story are mostly lovable, with the villains of the story easy to despise. I love how Bree and Archer work through their past traumas while leaning on each other. This book doesn’t stray from the ugliness that a person faces while falling in love despite a past that tells you you’re everything but lovable. Bree is patient with Archer, and Archer’s protectiveness of Bree had me swooning!
Emily Henry does an amazing job of writing banter between characters. I was laughing during this book so much! I love that this book is romance, but it also really focuses on the personal growth of the main characters. I loved the main characters and the side characters. The small town vibes were the best. I have already reread this book once, and I won’t be ashamed to reread it again!
This was my 4th Ali Hazelwood book to read and probably by far my favorite. Elsie was one of the most relatable characters. She overthinks, is a people pleaser, and just has a lot going on! I really connected with this character more than I have in a long, long time! I love the character development that we get throughout this book. Ali does an amazing job of showing just how much work goes into working on yourself! I love that even in the epilogue, we see that overcoming the fear of being unlovable isn’t something that can magically be fixed by one single event.
Jack is my absolute favorite male main character out of the Hazelwood books I’ve read. He is patient, loving, and pushes Elsie to be the best version of herself. I loved how he puts his needs out in the open, and is patient yet firm when helping Elsie be honest with herself and others. Their relationship was so sweet and pure. 5/5 stars

I love this book. It hooks you in from the beginning - you know something went down between the main characters, but you get only bits and pieces during time jumps. I love a good friends to lovers trope, and I especially love how Emily Henry shows character development. I feel like her books are very relatable, very funny, and just overall amazing.
I really enjoyed this book! I wasn’t sure if I would love STEM romance, but Ali Hazelwood writes some really lovable characters. In this enemies to lovers book, we get to know Bee and Levi. I feel like Ali does an amazing job writing sexy, protective male characters that fall for some bad ass, smart women. Definitely gave off similar vibes to The Love Hypothesis, but we get a totally different story line. Unfortunately, Bee fell just a bit flat for me. I love her, but also wanted to punch her for constantly pointing out that *Levi hated her* overall a solid read though that I could definitely see myself picking back up if I find myself in a reading slump.
Rip my heart out book? Sign me up!
Rip my heart out.., that’s definitely what this book did. I was so frustrated at the characters for not admitting what LITERALLY EVERYONE saw, but that was also the entire point.
If you’re looking for a feel good story, this isn’t it. BUT if you’re looking for a beautiful story that will make an impact on your heart, this one is definitely your next book.

I thought the first book broke my heart, but oh boy was I wrong. This book wrecked me in the best way. The grief between all the characters can literally be felt while you read. I love the alternating points of view because it truly shows how no one grieves the same way. We get some clarity from the first book too.
Although I knew how this story ended before I even began to read, I still was sad at the end and wanted more. I do love that it ends in a way that you can imagine what life Autumn will have, and I have a feeling it’s a great one.
