I loved this but also the addition of the silly banter really bothered me in this one 😭

I love the group of people and the found family, but the weird humor that suddenly popped up wasn’t my fav. It made it really obvious who Kamran will end up with 🙂‍↕️

Alizeh, Cyrus, and Kamran have the miscommunication trope going on and that also pissed me off a bit, but the yearning and tension was THERE.

I would like for the plot to pick up now, since it feels like we’ve been stalled for a hot minute. I am excited to see where this goes though

Funnnn! But why did it all happen over a few days? Or maybe I’m reading it wrong idk, but I want them to have more time to develop as characters and with their relationships

I ATE THIS UP

Definitely followed the romantasy formula that I love. Girl in hiding with powers, heir to a kingdom. Prince of the enemy kingdom.. you get it 😏

I thought the beginning was a little slow, and I didn’t love how the entire plot happens over like one week. But, I am really curious to see how book two plays out 😌

The ending was *chef’s kiss* 😚

Wtf do you mean it ends that way??? I am unwell.

Such an outstanding addition to the series. It added so much to the world and actually made me care so much about our characters.

Slow in the beginning but picked up toward the end.

I loved the characters and the multiple povs, but damn I was confused for a lot of it. Felt young at times, but I can see how the series will progress as it goes

Um I’m obsessed?? Witch x Witch Hunter hell yeah

The pacing was phenomenal, and the duel pov?? I ATE THAT UP. I absolutely loved Rune and the cast of characters we follow. Alex and Verity were amazing side characters, heavy emphasis on Alex. The magic system is simplistic, but I really enjoyed that. If anything, I wish there was a little more world building because wdym there are guns and showers but they still ride horses?

That ending surprised me!! Takes a lot to do that. I also was sad because
Alex fucking dies. That actually brought tears to my eyes because he was Rune’s best friend and ugggghhh

I’m so excited for the sequel and conclusion to this duet!

I really wanted to love this, but unfortunately this was just an ok book for me.

I found the romance to be oddly rushed in this enemies to lovers kind of story, which just pulled me out of it. I also just didn’t vibe with the quest part of this book and the mystery element.

The ending was strong, I will say. If I end up going for book two, it’s because of that ending lol

Project Hail Mary was definitely a fun ride.

I loved the plot line of this story: a man is sent into space on a mission to save Earth. Super fun! I love space, so I was intrigued by the premise. We start off the story in the same situation as our mmc—we have no idea what’s happening. Throughout the story we slowly learn and pick up new details about why he is in space and what is wrong with Earth. The flashbacks added a lot of depth to the story and helped us understand Grace more, so I liked them.

My biggest issues involved the pacing, the math jargon, and the cringy humor. This is a nearly 500 page book. Didnt need to be that long imo. We could have sped along through so many useless moments imo. This might be a me issue but I am no mathematician nor am i a scientist. I struggled through the math parts, just glossed right over them.

We meet a fun alien friend who i loved (and always read his voice in a russian accent) who definitely was the star of the show. Im glad we met him!

The ending was interesting, but I also think someone should have died. They got off too easy 🫠

Such a fun start to the trilogy! Set in the modern day, we follow Nicole and Kyan as they work together to hunt down a dangerous creature.

I adored our mmc, Kyan, and loved that we got his pov as well as Nicole’s. This was definitely a romantasy, but it didn’t let me down like some have been lately. There was a good mix of plot along with the tension and build up through the whole story.

I found myself wishing things would wrap up a little sooner, as some points felt dragged out. I also wish we had some more world building, but as this is the first in a trilogy, I have high hopes for the second and third book fleshing this world out more.
