I was obsessed with this book in the beginning! The setup was so fun, an accidental cabin mix-up, sizzling chemistry and the kind of banter that keeps you flipping pages. But as the story went on, it started feeling a bit predictable. The twists didn’t really surprise me and the excitement I felt at the start faded. II still enjoyed it but it didn’t quite keep up the magic all the way through. In the end, it was a good story, worth the read.

This book is an emotional and beautifully written story that stays with you long after the last page. It perfectly captures the rawness of grief and the slow, sometimes painful journey toward feeling better. Savannah and Cael’s connection feels so real, and their struggles make their growth even more powerful. The book is heartbreaking but also full of hope, showing how love and shared pain can lead to healing. It’s the kind of story that makes you cry, smile, and cherish every moment.

Slow Dance by Rainbow Rowell

I really wanted to love this one, the cover is absolutely gorgeous and the title is so fitting. Unfortunately, the book itself just didn’t work for me. The story felt dragged out, the characters lacked depth, and the pacing was painfully slow, ironically. The only reason I made it to the end was because I listened to the audiobook or else I’m almost certain I would have DNFed it.

Okay, this book? Absolute perfection. It has everything… Drama, scandal, backstabbing, fierce rivalries and characters that make terrible decisions.
At the center of it is Kat Shaw, a fiercely determined ice dancer who’s spent her life chasing greatness. She’s got talent, drive, and a partner who’s more than just that. Heath Rocha isn’t just her skating partner, he’s her person. Their chemistry is undeniable, both on and off the ice, but their bond is constantly tested.
And then there’s the whole rival-family dynamic because, of course, Kat and Heath aren’t just competing for medals, they’re up against Bella and Garrett, Sheila Lin’s kids who by the way is Kat’s childhood idol. Add in the pressures of a tell-all documentary and some seriously cutthroat politics, Kat and Heath’s love story isn’t just about romance, it’s about survival. The push and pull between their love and their ambitions is so well done and it makes every moment between them feel electric.
The writing? Sharp. The tension? Thick enough to skate on. The characters? Messy, petty and absolutely addicting to watch unravel. If you’re in your toxic relationship era and want a book that feels like watching the most dramatic show ever, grab this one ASAP. It’s got that “just one more chapter” energy, where before you know it, you’re up way past your bedtime… This is pure, unfiltered drama. The Favorites is a must-read. Five stars, no hesitation!

This book is a gripping and suspenseful novel that dives into themes of revenge, betrayal, and the secrets we hide. The story keeps you hooked with its fast pace and twists, as you piece together the layers of the characters’ lives. Nikki Smith’s writing is sharp and emotional, making the tension palpable throughout. While the plot is compelling and full of surprises, there might have been moments where certain elements felt slightly predictable or overly dramatic. However, the final twist is brilliantly executed and adds a satisfying punch, making it a thriller that leaves a lasting impression.

This book is a poignant and intricately woven story that blends past and present, creating a deeply emotional reading experience. With its dual timelines, it tells two love stories, one set during World War II and the other in the present.
The historical storyline revolves around Scarlett and Jameson. Their love story is tender, raw, and heartbreakingly bittersweet. Meanwhile, in the contemporary timeline, Georgia’s reserved, guarded demeanor contrasts with Noah’s charm and wit, creating a delightful tension between their personalities before a unique love blossoms. The characters are richly developed, and their emotions leap off the page. The emotional impact is heightened by the surprising twists and the ultimate resolution of both storylines, which are both heartwarming and devastating.
The Things We Leave Unfinished is a powerful, beautifully written novel, a moving tribute to the enduring power of love and it’s one that should not be missed.

This book is a tender debut about love, loss, and unexpected connections. While the story is emotionally moving, the pacing feels uneven, and the characters lack the depth of TJR’s later works. A heartfelt, if imperfect, read.

This book is a delightful blend of humor, romance, and self-discovery, proving that love and life rarely follows a script. With laugh-out-loud moments and an unexpected emotional depth, the novel captivates you with its fresh take on romance and second chances.
Jane’s self-deprecating wit makes her an instantly relatable and her internal monologue feels like a conversation with a friend. The romantic tension between Jane and Dan is electric, built on quick banter, mutual irritation and a growing respect. Dan’s character is down-to-earth, perceptive and unafraid to challenge Jane. The pacing is perfect, with a cute mix of funny moments, heartfelt revelations and romantic beats. The Long Island setting adds a cozy, nostalgic backdrop to the plot.
It’s a Love Story reminds you that love, whether romantic, platonic, or self-directed, is messy, unpredictable and wonderfully transformative. If you’re looking for endearing characters, sharp dialogue, and heartfelt story, this book is for you!
