After reading most of this book, I learned it’s the second book in a series but can also be read as a stand alone. I do think if I read the first one it would have explained a little more. I did find at times certain things were confusing to follow. But overall the story and plot was good. I recommend if you’re into suspense and thrillers, but also reading the first in the series too! Unfortunately I just didn’t finish this one. It wasn’t as captivating for me.

What a rollercoaster!!! If you’re a fan a true crime podcasts and true crime books, this is right up that alley! It definitely true crime, but the writing style was so relatable. I also felt the writing style was similar to the agggtm series by holly Jackson.

All through the book, the details being uncovered pointed to characters who seemed they like they had a role in the disappearances of the missing college girls. But to find out at the end who really did it was so shocking! This book will keep you invested from start to finish! A great, fast paced read!

I would definitely give this book a 3.5 stars. It was more of a suspenseful, crime solving than thriller. Although there were some thrilling moments. And also the family relationship and dynamics of Gavin, his mom Mirabelle, and Danny was so intense and laced with trauma and toxicity. Overall enjoyed this read!

this book was a solid slow burn thriller that kept you reading because who doesn’t want to know who murdered the beautiful blonde doctor in a small town?!

full of twists and turns, middletide felt like a story within a story. following along the pov of the main character, elijah, through past and present, it’s all to solve the case who and why dr landry was found hanging from a tree. in this small town thriller, there’s a little bit of mystery, town gossip, drama, and love rekindled.

is mystery comedy a thing? because this book was definitely that! while there was a slight romance genre to it, say yes to the death really was an almost murder mystery that had such a comical side to it. this was my first of this type of book, and I did enjoy the laughs along the way of more series topics like abduction, cult fraternity, ptsd, and toxic family.

claire is the victim of a serial killer’s abduction gone wrong. after she puts him behind bars, the escalating threats continues. but the mystery is who’s behind it all? claire, her adorable pup, and her group of friends are on a mission to figure it out. along the way, claire is balancing her own business, a relationship she wasn’t too sure about, uncovering family relationships, and getting her sleepwalking habits under control!

Loved reading Eli and Penny’s love story and how they came to be! The journey of Eli learning and discovering what real love feels like was amazing! Those three little words felt a little heavier with Eli’s past and family history. But it was heartwarming to see him find love in the people around him who already love him unconditionally. And the spice
